DRM an why I think it sucks.

"You may not (nor will you permit your end users to) obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available through the Services."
Sorry, I don't fully understand how I'm obtaining materials from a service I've never used?

Then there is no issues if you have "apparently" never used our services even though you own multiple scripts that utilise ScriptEnforcer.

You guys should have logs, I have never added a server to SE, nor have I ever used it, ever. Can I be unbanned now, as that was a false ban from the reason you've provided?

If you aren't using the service, why do you want an unban?
You have scripts that are protected by SE, of which, noting what you've previously said about removing DRM on scripts that you own, you are breaking our AUP. You have previously admitted to tampering with our service and therefore you were banned..
Welcome to my personal hate list
Do you guys mind not derailing the thread?
What is this mess... Someone made a thread to start a discussion about the DRM part, but some cannot act mature and have to argue in the thread. If you don't have anything usefull to say, talk privately with eachother instead of on this thread. This is a company not a playground.
Is it possible to add a advertisement when script use a DRM? To advert people that they are spending money on something that they don't really own? It's boring to buy a script with DRM when it's not noticed on the description
Also, how can ScriptFodder can judge a script under DRM after submiting? (It's a simple question, just curiosity)
I personally instantly deny any scripts until they show me under the hood, aka giving me the code behind the DRM. Regardless of whether it's just delivering code, or something else, I demand to see it.
Having tags for scripts with DRM is something that has been discussed before, but never really decided upon.

Take your drama to PMs. We don't care. Any further continuation will lead in bans to all involved.

This is a v good idea. I thought it was actually already a requirement for them to obviously notify users if their scripts use DRM? Personally I think GModStore/SF should include optional effective DRM, with auditing (kinda like script submission) to prevent abuse like SE has - and all other DRM should be disallowed. However as Marcuz doesn't like DRM, I doubt this will happen

From the discussions I've had, we aren't planning on ever doing DRM.

Thanks for the report, it's already fixed in 3.1.0
Cant wait to use this sound effect in my the video
Also you act like I would be surprised that littlebigbug sent you our conversation when I told him to (well I actually said "Are you sending this to drizzy yet")

For one, just cause he doesn't use your site doesn't mean you can just keep him banned, you're a third party site that requires other scripts to work through you.
Lots of people have tampered with your service and you haven't banned even 2% of them, some are even in this thread alone, you're just trying to give yourself a reason to nickpic soemone out of the picture.
You say I was an idiot for the arguments I created, yeah I was. But this, you're a third party owner that people depend on to get their scripts working and ya'll are just power tripping it now by picking out who you wanted banned for reasons that no one else has been banned for yet you claim is apart of your TOS, AUP whatever.
I personally HATE DRM's. I don't want to rely on a third party for my script that I PAID FOR to work. If that's the case, then I am technically not paying for the addon; I am paying for USE of the addon. Developers who use DRM like ScriptEnforcer should notify the buyers that they are paying to USE the addon. (I would think legally but I could be wrong, just because games that you buy the USE of are required to say so).
Also, to reply to the AUS shit: You shouldn't determine when to ban people for obtaining the code, the developer should be responsible for that. All your job is is to protect from leakers and allow auto-updates (Which it seems that SE isn't good at doing either)
Also, I didn't derail this as I gave my opinion on the OP.
DRM is anti-innovation and anti-consumerism.
If malicious users want your scripts for free, no DRM in the world will stop that. You are only hindering the legitimate customer.
Does DRM / Scriptenforcer disable you from editing the script? I don't quite see the thing anyways, if it does disable the ability to customize the script to your liking, i would definently not be using the script, whether or not i had already bought it... Agree with you totally here Codeblue...

Lmao dont think he cares bout your 'personal hate list' tbh its bullshit having drm on your scripts
I feel the community is divided 50/50. One half hates it and one half loves it. I'm not here to tell you not to use DRM but here to let you know a large majority of people dislike it. Seems that has been proven here, and as you can see by Commander's and Phoenix's behaviour that there really not mature enough to run a DRM site just randomly banning people because they hate them.

Uhm, then why bully people in their script comments if you aren't trying to get them to stop using DRM? That's obtuse. You aren't capable of having a constructive argument on DRM, you turn it into either a shittalk about SE, or shittalking individuals when you don't get the result that you want. Go ahead, print RunString.
We now ban for interfering with our DRM or any of our services, it's not something you brag about. I understand if YOU don't want to use DRM, but it is up to the developer of the script, not you. Let's leave it at that.

You can still customize and modify the script to your liking, even for the protected parts. It may require the developer to add hooks, but that takes 5 seconds.

Bullying? I'd hardly call giving someone advice bullying. In fact if I recall I even complimented the script, I just gave him advice. So if I get this correctly you ban people for customising there scripts that they purchased with there money. You and your logic is so stupid that I fail to make sense of why you see DRM as fit for garrys mod. Also you mentioned I bragged about replacing RunString with print when this was completely not the case, the reason the post was made was because I found it so incredibly funny that you charge people to use your service when all it is is that, as I already said all it takes is a person with a functioning brain to bypass scriptenforcer.
I will shittalk scriptenforcer any day because its terrible and should be called shitenforcer as all it enforces is a shit user experience. But as for shit talking individuals, can you name someone I shit talked? I think my statement was backed by facts earlier in this discussion and is not considered "Shit talk".
I said in my previous post i'm not here to tell you not to use DRM, but to inform them who use it that it can seriously impact sales and ruin customer experience, if anything this post should help people who are deciding weather to use it or not. But stop crying when ever someone says anything negative out you or your shitty DRM.
