How did you start learning LUA?

Hey there! I've been looking through the forums and have a question for all the experienced developers out there, How did you become proficient at coding with LUA? How did you start and what do you think is the best place to find experience for new comers today?

I see a lot of folks asking for ideas and videos on where to begin, and in my experience I opened my server and learned from a whole bunch of people along the way. From first purchasing addons off the Gmodstore and putting them on one by one, teaching myself. To grabbing peoples discords from new users with suggestions wiling to help me as a new owner on my server. The whole experience has been a real trip and i'm at the point where i'm creating my own addons and fixing any issues on my own. My advice to people debating on whether to open a server with lack of knowledge would be to open it and teach yourself as you go.
