trying to learn coding
yooo, im trying to learn coding and I was asking myself how people do stuffs like abilities for servers?
like in star wars rp the force abilities or in mangarp the different types of abilities, how do I create the animations/particles for these abilities?
I tried to find a tutorial for it but couldn't find anything tbh
If you want to learn coding I suggest you first learn at least the basics of Lua before you try anything.
There are some good tutorials on YouTube for this.
You can then find some videos about GLua when your comfy with Lua but I will warn you in my opinion the Garry's Mod Lua Wiki looks ugly and outdated so it might be a bit weird for a beginner to use at least that's what I thought when I first saw it.
Now I am guessing judging by what your saying is you want to do more custom things I will not assist with this but I am giving you a general direction on how to start and I am guessing you want to learn to code because the title so just do what I stated above and look at other addons and scripts that maybe have particles in them and animations to learn how to create them your self and eventually you'll get better and be able to make your own but if you don't know how or a single thing about coding it will take you a few months if your a decent paced learner to begin creating fully custom addons and animations without help.
I will also say there are other forums as well and discord servers that can assist you in learning where you can get more guidance and help with everything related to coding.
