Possible VCMod Problem
I just had VCMod installed on a server I am working on, and it's mostly working well. However, both myself and the server owner, when testing the addon, noticed that we become invisible to ourselves when inside vehicles (but not invisible to each other). When exiting the vehicles, what appears to be a random first-person viewmodel appears near the rear of the car for a short time. I would like to know if this is an issue that can be resolved within VCMod itself or if it is likely due to a conflict or bug with another addon (in which case a lengthy reinstallation of the server would take place). We are using the latest version of VCMod (downloaded today off gmodstore) and we have tested various vehicles including TDM Cars, LW Cars, and even default HL2 Vehicles. Any advice or assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hey, why did you not simply leave a ticket? You have not purchased VCMod yourself, but even so, personal messages are a thing..
As for the bug itself, VCMod currently is running on around 900 servers, no one is reporting this. Yes, must be some kind of confliction.
VCmod is pretty sure error free, it has been solidly developed and tested so it must be an error on your end.
Things you can do now:
- Write a ticket
- Uninstall VCmod, also check for anything left in the "data" folder, restart and install it again.
- Look out for script errors relating this
- Removing all legacy ("extraced/folder") addons except VCMod, restarting your server, testing -> VCmod works -> Re-Add each single folder by installing it, restarting your server and checking VCMod until you find the folder causing it
- Temporarily removing the workshop collection parameter, removing all GMAs and restating your server -> Good luck finding the responsible addon.

Couldn't have said bettr myself, thank you.
Yeah, its a confliction of some sort. I'd say best to remove half of addons, check if that fixed it, proceed until you find something. Could go more in detail in a thing called "Personal message", to be honest.
