DRM - Web Script
Hello everybody.
I am nearing completion on my current website project which i have been working on for a good few months now for Garry's Mod and other Source-Based games.
I am considering adding it onto script-fodder with under a DRM system (licensed third-party) Which will be hosted on our website for download after scriptfodder purchase is confirmed. It will then let you login to our distribution panel which you enter the domain in which you would like to run the website on. Then click submit then it will serve the personal encoded files to you (digitally signs them so we know who's has which). This means that in the event of it being leaked or attempted to be leaked we are able to track who did it.
However the one downside is that the website in which it runs on will require the php module for the encoded which is an optional install on WHM/Cpanel should you be hosting the website yourself or your host uses this you could request for this module to be installed. I was thinking however in the event of this being a problem i could offer website hosting on my hosting company for 3 months for any users.
I would also be willing to encode a 3 day trial for anybody who wants to test the website before purchase (files usage would expire after 3 days).
The reason i am considering a DRM web script is to deter users from leaking the files online. As well as making it so that only people who purchase it will have access to it.
This website if i had to describe it has the following features:
Designed in Bootstrap and has 14 Themes to choose from (28 if you include the inverse versions of the same theme) Website admin management - privilege system Global and server specific ban management Donation system - Manual and Automatic Delivery with products in which you can specify for each command. Website Profile - Uses server data to produce a personalised player stats page Administration control panel to control the above (all except website profiling - this is a work in progress at the moment) Full Website Logging for every action including Donation pending and delivery PayPal Encrypted Buttons - SSL payments without SSL being required.
I was thinking of listing this on scriptfodder for $40 a copy.
I look forward to hearing your ideas on this.
Kind Regards
Jack
hasn't it been proven that web based DRM for scripts doesn't work well? you'd need to combine it with obfuscated dll modules or some shit, right?
EDIT: did I misread what the entire post was about? He's trying to sell DRM for scripts isn't he?
I have made a demo version of the panel where it will automatically assign a rank called SFPortal Test User It has full panel permissions meaning you can explore the panel as much as you want :)
It is linked up to PayPal sandbox as well in case you wanted to try out the donation system :)
Demo: http://sfportal.net/demo/
Please let us know of any issues you find :)

Nulls im not selling DRM for scripts im thinking of selling a website on scriptfodder which is protected by a DRM (Sourceguardian Loader). Its similar to Ioncube/Zend used in websites like WHMCS to obfuscate code to prevent "license" or callback api's etc being removed easily.
