Gif support for script banners
Just wanted to gather peoples opinions on allows gif support for script banners on gmodstore.
Good examples of pros for this could be
- Ability to make your banner stand out
- Allow for more information to be displayed about your script on the banner
- Cool RGB Rainbow banners
Examples of cons for this could be
- It'll turn the marketplace into a minecraft server list looking ass thing
Please let me know your thoughts on this, as I'm very interested in what the rest of the community has to say on such a topic.
No reason not to.

That is exactly what I was gonna say.
Sure they may be cool, but put 20 different GIFS on one page and it's just pure visual cancer.

- Increased data usage
- it's going to look like shit
fucking hell guys
I am sure Marcus is not going to allow such a cancerous idea to go ahead. Sure, you might think you can make a good gif, doesn't mean the next guy can and its going to look like shit.
Okay, let's ASSUME it's not going to negatively impact the performance/data usage/whatever, I still don't see any reason why? I think a GOOD banner is already enough to attract someone, I also don't think a lot of people would be using it - what are the advantages of a gif? well you can show off your script in action, but you can also do that in the description? I think the banner has more than enough space to list any interesting features.
People will start turning their scripts into rainbow cancer, please don't do this
Fair play, all very valid reasons for not allowing gifs, was just something I've always been curious as to why not, but I think I'm now satisfied :)
The gif format itself is meant to die, the only reason it's still alive is
- old computers and shit
- doesn't support sound
Don't worry, gif banners will never be a thing
