Viability of HUDs/F4Menus/Scoreboards

I've been thinking about selling on ScriptFodder recently because I'd like to save up some money and doing odd jobs is a very slow income stream. I was thinking about doing mainly VGUI stuff because that's my main area of expertise; HUDs, F4Menus, Scoreboards, the like. However it seems like the market is over-saturated, judging from the number of posts from people whining about their script not getting accepted.

My main question is: are rote VGUI scripts still feasible? From my limited vantage it looks like the only way to get a HUD accepted is to add many features. Does a cool looking, simple HUD stand any chance? If not, what about F4Menus or Scoreboards? Or have those ideas also been overdone to the point of insipidity?

A cool looking simple HUD with lots of way customize it will still get approved if the design is good and your config is large. Don't skip out on Agenda, notifications, lockdown etc for DarkRP. Same applies for TTT etc. It can be a bit hard to get DarkRP HUDs to work on TTT due to layout issues.

F4 menus, if they look cool they will get accepted. Imo you should strive to have a cross game mode Scoreboard if possible.

I agree with you on HUDs being oversaturated, most people get mad when looking at a new hud, even if it's under $3, since they think it is ez-pz to make one because of all the huds available on the market (while in reality it requires work as every other script), I've seen most F4 Menus and Score Boards get great comments and reviews though, so try your best and you will succed :D

I mean, HUDs are pretty easy to make. But under $3 would definitely be fine. I think if I do make a script it will be a more advanced menu such as an F4 Menu or Scoreboard.

Thanks for the feedback.
