Review removed?

I posted a negative review, and the mod author then contacted me, and within a few minutes my review was gone.

Are mod authors allowed to remove reviews? Is there a very strict review criteria or something? What happened? All the points I made in the review were truthful and I wasn't going off-topic.

Probably better to make a site ticket https://www.gmodstore.com/help/tickets/create

no only moderators can remove reviews.

I saw the review that you're talking about. It was removed by a moderator, not the author.

While I can't speak for the moderation team, based on my experience I imagine it was removed because your review highly consisted of bashing the addon because features that you wanted did not exist. It's your responsibility to make sure that the features you want are present in the addon prior to purchasing (see the license agreement under 6.2 Feature Request -- the addon author is not required to provide any features requested, outside of what is advertised), within reason.

Your review also consisted of a lot of user-error related things, like you having issues with configuring it. While I haven't used that specific addon, I have used one of Zephruz's addons before, and the configuration was very straight forward and detailed; he's an excellent developer and well-respected content creator here.

Next time I recommend instead of posting a negative review based on features that you want or user-error related things, make a support ticket and the author might be willing to guide you further through configuring it or maybe even look into some of those feature requests you were wanting. It's up to the author.

Regardless, this isn't really the place to be discussing this. Internal issues should be handled by creating a site ticket, where you can communicate with the moderation/management teams: https://www.gmodstore.com/help/tickets/create

That's part of the reason I made a bad review. He admitted to purposefully ignoring the ticket that I did indeed create, citing how he "prioritizes" things, all until I made the bad review. It wasn't professional at all.

I agree that some of my review was bad, I have altered it and reposted, however the other points are completely valid.

Thread is resolved, I now know that only mods can remove it, I just wanted to explain that part.
