Advent Calendar 2020

As our Halloween sale this year concluded it's time to make way for the advent calendar 2020!

As with the previous years, here's how it works:

Starting at the 1st of December through the 24th of December, everyone who has had an account older than x time at GmodStore will be able to open an advent calendar square daily for a chance of winning an addon completely for free. Everyone can enter for a coupon for an addon. This means that if you come back to GmodStore every single day from the 1st to the 24th you will have 24 chances to win something. Surely you are bound to win at least something?

What do I have to do as a content creator?

Go to one of your teams and start opting your addons in to the event.

May I change my opt-in settings after the 1st of December?

Unfortunately no, we lock the opt-in submissions at the 1st of December (UTC timezone) automatically to avoid ending up with either less, or more addons in the collective quota than we anticipated.

Do you get notifications as a content creator when an addon is given away for free or as a coupon?

Yes!

Why is there a limit to how many addons or coupons I can give away?

The previous two years we made this tweak due to people saturating the event with a whole lot of their own coupons.

Why must my account be older than x time to use the advent calendar for free addons? This is unfair!

This is due to concerns about users registering multiple accounts to gain an advantage.

Will I receive an addon I already own?

No, you will not

Can I receive DLC for an addon I don't own?

Nope!

How will the addons/coupons be distributed?

Here's a distribution chart for 2019:

This means there's roughly a 10% chance to get a completely free addon if your account is older than x time. We adjust these as time goes on, but the initial chances this year are:

50% for your first 4 wins, 25% for the next 4, 12.5% for the next 4 and so on.

We can see the 2019 advent calendar was more popular than it's 2018 counterpart, let's beat it again this year shall we? :)
