Best way to learn GLua

Depends on how you like to learn honestly. Reading books on Lua, Watching youtube tutorials or maybe even hiring a personal tutor on this site. Few things can get you started, but it really depends if you are genuinely interested in learning. I'm sure from a couple google searches you'll find all the answers you need for materials available to you.

I tried my best to cover the foundational aspects of developing for garry's mod. I hope they are helpful to you.

Another good option is maybe checking out Blue's tutorials; I think he thoroughly introduces lua really well !

yeah I am a current owner of a DarkRP server and its been a real experience through trial and error. To be honest with you, the absolute best way to learn is to open your server and follow your ambition. stick with it and hire a developer to help you along the way.

When i first opened my server i had very little experience, A few real cool people joined my server in the early days giving me suggestions and i linked up with them through discord as they mentioned they were coders and willing to help out. I gave it a shot and asked them questions of my own and believe it or not those 2 same guys are still dev's on my server today. I've learned a whole bunch from the both of them and all for free, from custom addons to custom UI, if you become friendly with someone with experience people tend to be generous in sharing knowledge.

I now am at the point of creating addons for my server on my freetime and fixing any issues i have on my own. Until i opened my server and learned through other people I was buying addons off the GMODstore and putting them on my server one by one, teaching myself as i went. I promise you'll find some real cool people that'll join your empty server looking to help new owners. This whole experience has been a real trip and I havent been happier beginning with the same idea as you, wanting to open a unique DarkRP server.
