Question!

I was thinking about hosting through GMChosting.com, but I saw that it runs through a Linux system. I have done a lot of coding and added a lot of addons to a dedicated server. I was wondering if there would be any changes as far as coding goes, and if I could just copy any paste most of what I have done on my dedicated server. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I googled this but couldn't really find an answer.

Linux is very sensitive to cases, so that's a big no no.

I was afraid of this :/ In that case, do you have any recommendations for server hosting based on Windows? (really sorry to bother)!

you don't need windows

most addons have their filenames and folder names in lowercase anyway and if they don't then the addon creator needs to fix it

I didn't mean no no to GMC, I just meant if you have addons that are not properly cased, then it's a big no no for just porting over.

So to be clear the only issue would be if the files have upper case in them?

Assuming you have ssh use this. find my_root_dir -depth -exec rename 's/(.)/([^/])/$1/\L$2/' {} ; Change it to your root directory and it'll change all your files and folders from capitals to lowercase.

Edit:or do it manually

I have gotten started, and it's very convenient. I'd recommend GMC to anyone!
