Server crash hook?
Hi!, I am trying to create a menu that will pop up if connection to a server is severed, like if it crashed or forced stopped. But I cant seem to find any hooks or anything related to it on the gmod wiki. What anyone be able to give me a hand on how I could make this possible please?
Don't quote me on this as I've never made anything like this, but from what I last heard it works by the client sending net messages to the server every few minutes or something, and getting a reply to confirm it's still up. If it gets nothing back, then the client knows the server is dead and displays the UI.
Again tho, that could be completely wrong. That's just what I heard years ago lol
There's a couple good ones on the store page that I have some experience (dm me if you want my opinions) , if none of those work your best bet would probably be getting a custom one made
