Gmodstore Translation
Hey guys ! It could be cool to have some translation options for the website itself,
Some people here seem to struggle a lot with English, I could provide free French and clean translation if needed.
Have a nice day everyone !
Because it's an international community, I think the site is intentionally English-only because it is more inclusive to an international userbase who need to regularly communicate with each other.
There is already a problem of some users for some unknown reason using their own language in some areas of the site, especially in support tickets, which doesn't really make any sense because the person on the other side of the screen is usually never a speaker of that language. Translating the site will only make this worse, unfortunately.
I can understand why you'd write a review in your own language, because Google Translate is likely to destroy whatever you were writing. But direct communication with people who are very likely not to speak your language? I can't tell if it's arrogance, laziness, or both.
One issue which should probably be pointed out is that some areas of the site literally don't work with Google Translate. For example Google Translate just makes forum post bodies blank for me.
