Editing rp_downtown_v4c_v2
Basically Im here to ask if this is allowed. I want to edit rp_downtown_v4c_v2 and delete some things while adding my logo to the map. Is this possible. Or is copyrighted.
The best answer would probably be to just contact the designer of that map and ask for permission; explaining your intentions to him. That's the only way you're going to know for sure what you're allowed to do. And I would probably assume maybe putting his name in the description of the map as the original creator.

If you get the designers' permission to do modifications and such, then I don't see why not. It's a gmod job technically.

Anyone who makes edits of rp_downtown_v4c_v2 is a shit person, there is already a million edits to this map on the workshop. Why can't people make something orginal for once. (waits for the "but people only join servers running rp_downtown_v4c_v2 exuse")

Have you tried running a DarkRP server on any map that isn't Downtown? I promise you that it'll see no success
I run a server on chaos city. 20-30 players daily. When I had downtown I was getting 50-70. I'm not going to edit downtown without permission.
Nobody cares if you edit downtown. What you know as rp_downtown_v4c_v2 evolved across multiple versions of different people editing it without any permissions from anyone. I remember seeing somewhere original author of downtown raging how they "ruined his map" kek
