A general question
So I'm interested.
I'm going to begin work on a plugin, not gonna reveal too much, but it will use an external exe to generate code into a lua file essentially making each persons copy unique
Would this be allowed, or would this not be allowed?
Cheers
Tom
regardless of whether this is allowed or not (probably not) this is just dumb
no, it's extremely dumb
I Dont get this, why you gotta be different?
So you're making a job generator?

Is this supposed to an attempt at catching leakers?
Doesn't sound too feasible or manageable.

It already exists, it's called DRM's.
String replacements ??
String replacements is only here to ban leakers not to stop them.
It's like if you're in a race and you're always the last but all you can say is "at least i passed the finish line !!!111"
To clarify:
No not to prevent Leakers. It is basically a way of modifying the script completely to how you would want it. It then will run and whatever features you chose for it will be on the item say for example

most drms do that but with serverside stuff.
ex: billy wants to update his script with a small change, he uses his drm now everyone is auto updated without having to completely re-install. (true story)

I see what you mean, but what I'm saying is the addon will use an external .exe to completely change essentially how It works. Gonna see if I can do it, and If it cannot be posted on here, then release it for free

Gerry should just implement servers being able to have addons that are on different servers and do the thinking there. Of course, that could really just backfire with the amount of exploiting that can cause but god damn leakers are getting annoying.
Why would you want to change it everytime? How would you make it change everytime and have it give the same output for there server?
