I recently got screwed over by a gmod server dev ive already contacted the server host to reset the server ill leave a link to his steam profile https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561193876623297 NEVER USE THIS GUY he deletes all of your server files.

Never give them access in the first place

Dont give people your files unless you can do somthing agenst them if they do somthing with your shit.

Lol, this guy "was"a very active member of my community. He was a real asshole. I still get messaged about him fucking up discords and stuff.

Reinstall your server from SteamCMD, backing up important folders such as addons, lua/autorun, data, and your server.cfg, assuming he didnt delete any of it. I also notice a lot of people using their RCON passwords as passwords to their real services, such as email, etc. so please make sure you change all your account passwords if you use the same RCON password.

Ye, a mistake people make all too often... Although it's their own fault for doing it, it still kinda sucks to see it happen.

Hey mate,

As everyone else has stated don't ever give anyone your FTP credentials or infact access to your server - I couldn't even trust my own brother. Yet again he has reset my computer files - while playing on it twice even though he is confused on how he did it 🤷

If in any scenario where you for some reason HAVE to give them access, I highly suggest hiring someone with over 20 rep.

Just a heads up though, I really don't feel like it is necessary to 'expose' someone here. Sure it's helpful but really becomes the birth of shit posts.

Well after being spammed with this link like 400 times. I guess I should comment...

First, he wasn't paying me for my services like we agreed upon.

Second I almost finish the Development of the server. I was just about to upload the files to the server but as he said he wasn't going to be paying me like we agreed upon.

The only sort of payment I received was a rank in his discord, "trusted" rank.

Therefore deleting the Files that I have spent much of my time making and tweaking to his needs.

Also, I had nothing to do with his Garry's Mod being broken... that was entirely him.
