Good idea on trying to get youtubers but I feel like they should be attracted to your server by it's content and not your money.

Dont expect the youtuber to roleplay and make the server less toxic. The want content and the only gmod server that was worth roleplaying on and making a video is monolith or santosRP. Also most people are just going to get on and minge and then either be kicked or leave.

Regarding some comments.

The paying for youtuber thing i know its a dumb thing to do. but first of its quite hard to make a community when there are alot and i mean alot of darkrp server out there. + youtubers dont wanna do a video for a god damn ulx group. they want $$$$$. thats why but yes i do agree i should try to make them do it becuase of the community and not the money. within these 6 days i have gotten some streamers on that stream almost daily on my server. and they do it but their free will.

To be honest. i dident need this post :/ i already have a small community. this post was unnecessary. and yes there are custom scripts on the server. go take a look. the casino dont hate on it. its a trailer for the server that we made since we needed it for a ad on youtube.

and yes its hard to make a DarkRP stand out unless you wanna pay the money for really good custom scripts. but a cheaper way is to buy some that are on the gmodstore. and they are good. they are maybe everywhere but people love them. i do agree that the casino script is maybe overly used. and not a speciel script but it does it job. i am hopeing to get some very speciel features to the server to make it stand out. and that will happen quite soon.

If you didnt need this post, then why did you post it? Redundant I've run a total of around 10 servers so far in my time on gmod, not the most, but its some. I dont do it for money, i dont go for anything but i fun community, and a place where people dont have to deal with 10 year old server staff who ban or become twats for no reason

Look into some of the numerous roleplay gamemode frameworks out there (NutScript comes to mind). I'd be willing to bet that if you spent half of a year learning to write Lua and working with other gamemodes you'd have a MUCH more popular community than if you spent a year buying advertisements for your redundancy of a DarkRP server. tbh anyone who thinks it's dumb don't know what they're talking about, probably have never run a majorly successful community or company & have no idea about the marketing industry or how critical & how influencer marketing are the future of marketing. Influencer marketing is the difference between making a 4 to 5/6 digit turnover in a 2018 ecosystem and this is an objective fact. Noone is clicking fucking banner ads, noone is sticking around to watch TV ads, and most younger people use an adblocker so even youtube ads are hardly worthwhile.

I mean, a LOT of servers just get shit custom HUDs made and then clickbait the fuck outa their server title. Always a good laugh joining a server called something like PoorRP - CUSTOM CONTENT:QUICK DOWNLOAD:M9K:CARS to just find out that "custom content" means they had a custom MOTD made.
