Why Should I Buy From SF?
So I've been on sabbatical for prob a little less than a year now, and Not much has changed it seems.
Out of the 54 Scripts, Usable 34 - 5 Disabled - 9 Banned - 6 No Subscriptions So with that in mind I've got 20 Scripts I can't use for various reasons that are 10% of my purchases gone and a chunk of those are due to bans and the rest to laziness.
So basically what I am asking has there been any improvements in getting better quality scripters or is it Still a hand full good scripters and a bunch of tards who get banned.
I kind of would like to rebuild a server and undoubtedly I would end up needing something from SF but I need to know has there been any improvments
Try buying custom content. Some people are worth buying from but it seems script quality is going down. (My Opinion)
All we can do is go based on what we're given at the time in regards to a submission. We have zero way of knowing if a user is going to get banned later, or is going to stop supporting their scripts, and typically when we get enough reports, then we have to handle the situation.
In regards to script quality, over the past few months, we've gotten a lot more strict with what is approved (you guys only see a new script every now and again) and that doesn't make up for the other 75% of the submissions we get in a month that get denied, because we do get a fairly large number of submissions per month, however, "script quality" is up to the developers themselves. We can't magically make a new unique script appear approved, when all we're getting are HUDs, scoreboards, and the occasional "remake" of an existing script. Aside from being a mod here, I've also been a customer, with well over $450 in purchases, and granted a few developers have been banned, I am still able to use their items, even if the updates don't exist anymore. It's not much of an issue, considering the average price here ranges from $2.00 - $6.00 a script.
The only thing I can recommend, is buying from developers who have been around awhile, however, I don't see that as particularly fair for the new developers who are on here trying to start out, and who are actually putting effort into what they do. It's sort of the same as buying something and then a few months down the line, it becoming discontinued; no way of knowing.
what's SF?
SF ruined Garry's Mod.
GmodStore on the other hand... 10/10.

This I both agree and disagree with. I'm a fairly new developer regarding this site, having only posted my first script about 5 months ago. I've tried pretty hard to get a "name" within the community and become a "known developer". If that's working, I'm unsure. Anyways, there are a lot of talented developers who are only just now stumbling into the development part of this site. For example, Threebow posted his first script 2 months ago. The quality of his scripts (Specifically his 2 most recent ones) are pretty high. But yet you have Mikael who's been uploading for some time and still is now with a high level of quality. Scripts are very hit or miss, ensure that you know what you're buying before you buy it.
And regarding banned developers, it's not really a big deal. After a script is released, most developers don't add large features unless really needed. So if a developer is banned, you can still use his content, there might just be a bug or 2. If you really don't want to be caught owning scripts by banned devs, stick with stuff that has high ratings and high purchase counts, those guys value their gms account too much to do something stupid.
Because your server won't be better with leaks. or without some of gmodstore's addons.
