Question: Can I sell something like this?
I had an idea for a DarkRP configuration tool with a gui, (job generator, shipment generator, etc ) that I could make using NodeJS, ReactJS and Electron, but from what I've read not sure if something like that would get approved as it would be a desktop app that would generate the code. I know the internet can be a sketchy place for executables but, if that's allowed I could make a ton of cool tools for content creators and server owners alike.
why would you make a desktop app out of nodejs... let alone for gmod when you could just code something in gmod itself.
also no, executable/desktop apps aren't accepted here

Luna's right, something like this should exist as a web app, like TCBs
I agree with Luna and Josh here: this is a really nice concept and I think that you could see success if you released it as a web app, since (I don't mean to stir up any drama) but The Coding Beast has kinda become a bloated platform.
Plus voting Luna down doesn't really make sense - he's merely offering constructive criticism and bringing up the fact that even if you wanted to executables aren't accepted here. With apps like Discord they have an excuse to make Electron wrappers since they couldn't have system-wide push-to-talk or in-game overlays otherwise, but with this you're quite literally making a Chrome frame for a job generator that simply could download a file anyway. Hell, even making a GmodStore desktop app would actually have more merit than this, since at least you could actually get ticket notifications via push notifications. I really don't understand the point to this.
