Proper procedure to refunding broken addons?
Hi there Gmodstore members! This post is a bit of an odd one. I've been part of gmodstore since the scriptfodder and Coderhire days, and I've spent almost a grand on addons over the past 4-5 years. unfortunately, for every good catch I come across many broken addon with exploits, and as of recently, I've come across 3 that do not work all-together- even situations where the creator openly states that they are not willing to offer support for their broken addons. I was curious to know, is there any proper way of disputing these sellers as to not get banned from gmodstore? I do not think their addons that are clearly broken are worthy of my money. I have tried reporting such addons to staff over here, however, it seems that none have gotten taken down.
According to the gmodstore license that is included with every downloaded addon, the creator is NOT required to provide updates or fixes, and the scripts are provided in an AS-IS basis.
That being said... scripts should be working to be ON gmodstore, but it's unreasonable to expect the author of your $10 script to provide you with updates and fixes forever.
If the script stops working due to a gmod update, and that author no longer sells or supports the addon, just write it off, don't try and screw them over by refunding it on paypal.

- Upgrades, Updates and Fixes
Licensor may provide Licensee, from time to time, with Upgrades, Updates or Fixes, as detailed herein and according to his sole discretion. Licensee hereby warrants to keep The Software up-to-date and install all relevant updates and fixes, and may, at his sole discretion, purchase upgrades, according to the rates set by Licensor. Licensor may provide any update or Fix free of charge; however, nothing in this Agreement shall require Licensor to provide Updates or Fixes.
- Support
The Software is provided under an AS-IS basis and without any support, updates or maintenance. Nothing in this Agreement shall require Licensor to provide Licensee with support or fixes to any bug, failure, mis-performance or other defect in The Software, except in the case where Licensor explicitly states that he shall provide support or fixes to any bug, failure, mis-performance or other defect in The Software.
8.2 No-Warranty
The Software is provided without any warranty; Licensor hereby disclaims any warranty that The Software shall be error free, without defects or code which may cause damage to Licensee’s computers or to Licensee, and that The Software shall be functional. Licensee shall be solely liable to any damage, defect or loss incurred as a result of operating software and undertake the risks contained in running The Software on Licensee’s Server[s] and Website[s].
- No Refunds
Licensee warrants that he inspected The Software according to clause 7 and that it is adequate to his needs. Accordingly, as The Software is intangible goods, Licensee shall not be, ever, entitled to any refund, rebate, compensation or restitution for any reason whatsoever, even if The Software contains material flaws.
The report button is a meme, if you want to do something, you need to riot or to make a thread like this one, but you should tell us exactly which addons you're having issues with.
