Subdomains cause "Bad server address (ttt.x.net)" error?

I set up 2 SRV records on CloudFlare, first one UDP, second TCP, otherwise they're the same, but I don't think this really matters.

I tried connecting through my subdomain ttt.x.net and it causes the Bad server address (ttt.x.net) error. When I try with x.net, it tries to connect, but would most likely time out. (I didn't bother checking if it'll throw Too many retries error, it was already taking way longer)

x.net is a CNAME record.

Is there a possibility to include subdomains in a server address? I want to use it with Steam browser control link steam://connect/ttt.x.net and console command connect ttt.x.net.

Also I know I might set it to just connect through x.net, but most likely I'll have to do that now or then, because I want to have multiple Garry's Mod servers in the future.

Source games doesn't support SRV records, see https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife/issues/193 for more infos.

If you want to connect via subdomain, you must do one A record like ttt.x.net pointed to your server IP. If your TTT server have a custom port that are not 27015, then you must use connect ttt.x.net:27200 for exemple.

Works fine. I had to disable CF's proxy for the new A record to work.

Also, if I need to add the port nonetheless, I might just make one subdomain for my Garry's Mod servers. Still better than plain IP.

Thanks!
