Outside of the above options, no there isn't really any free hosting that you can actually trust with uploading your files to.

You want free, but don't want to port forward; you don't really have any more options. You could goto somewhere like Vultr or Digital Ocean, which offer $20-$50 in free credit if you add a valid credit card, but that would require you to know how to use Linux, not sure if they have Windows Server.

then use hamachi or a vpn

Nothing in life is free, you'll pay the price somewhere.

Just run a local dedicated GMod server and use ZeroTier for remote connections. ZeroTier is way better because it's peer-to-peer, easy to use, open-source, and free for 100 devices on the hosted version.

Heres a video for ZeroTier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZShna7v77xc

would like like to say that port forwarding is not hard once you learn the basics of the internet and nor is it dangerous if it is set up correctly.

By correctly I mean you've set up your serving device's internal and external firewalls.

Window's default firewall works rather well.

It’s not really about security of the network and host machine, it’s more about network based attacks. A home router and connection will never stand a chance against large DDoS attacks servers regularly deal with.
