The truth of Advent Calendars (a mere critic by me)
Ah, Christmas. We got that smell of delicious food, the holiday spirits and the Advent Calendars.
I got excited when I first heard of the Advent Calendar that gmodstore was planning, I thought I was going to get something(and I did)! =24 days, 24 presents.=
Now, in normal advent calendars, only 3 or 4 squares give you nothing. But oh boy this Advent Calendar is rigged.
First 2 days I got coupons, thought I was getting lucky. Then! A coal. No problem, it's only one so far. Then I got 2 more coupons. Then a coal. Then another coal. And another. And another.
Total coals? 9 Coals. 8 were in row. I didn't win a single coupon in the last week. How is this possible?
Well I have an idea.
I don't have nothing agaisn't Gmodstore(great service) but I think this is a mere scam. Why? Well, we don't have knowledge of any Fair Play system. We don't know the chances. We don't know if this is really an Advent Calendar or a scheme for people to put more money and then don't give it back in the way of coupons(or if you put 10+, a free addon).
I would really like to see the system you use to give away coupons. Is it by percentage? (30% chances of getting coupon, 5% chances of getting an addon) or is it only pure luck?
Or else coupons ran out, but there wasn't a single message towards the community saying that.
This is a mere critic!
I think I have the right to see the good points and the bad points and discuss about it, so this ain't Shit talking.

Just because you didn't win something in almost every square doesn't mean it's rigged :/ join the discord at https://www.gmodstore.com/discord , look at the statistics channel for more stats on your actual chances and you'll see how unlucky you are.
People should not be seeing this as a chance to get 15+ free addons but a chance to get better discounts for some addons they want and some free addons if they're lucky.
I don't know how you can think this is a scam when the minimum entry of $10 spent on your account was to prevent alts and you aren't paying money to open squares? If you were a small server owner that's already what you would have spent on the site
The advent calendar chance up until a few hours ago worked like this:
Your first two wins had a 50% chance of winning something, and of that there's a 10% chance to get an addon if you win something.
And from there on, your chances started reducing drastically with a cap of 6 if you are really lucky (this cap is not hard coded, but more a limitation of the algorithm where the chance would be so microscopical low to win anything else).
As of a few hours ago we altered it, and it now has a static 33% chance to win something every single day, and if you win something there's still a static 10% of it being a free addon. This is mostly because we don't have enough to give away.
We tweaked it because we saw we were giving away far too much coal compared to the prized we have left in the quota. We only have a few hundred more free addons, compared to thousands upon thousands of coupons.
However, we have another event coming up organized by Snorlak where you will have a chance of winning free addons (no coupons).
