Question about Dedi hosting
I'm using a dedicated ubuntu server at the moment and my friend has been having the issue where he's connecting to the wrong servers, This is because the ports have changed around for some bizarre reason, is there a way to make a gmod server stick to its port without any sort of change?
In your startup script add +port and the number you want that server to run on.
Edit: I think the guy below me is right, just googled it and saw people using - my bad ;)
I do not know what the exact difference is, but I use "-port (portnumber)" in the startup parameters.

I would advise using a software to automate the allocation, and management of ports and IP's. If you have the budget, TCAdmin is great for this - and a lot of hosts will provide managed installation and licensing for you.
If you can't get TCAdmin, there is something called Bright Game Panel which I used for a while when I was running Aero. It's free!
I think Stonnedpenguin released his own custom tool too, at some point. I don't remember any details about it though, but that might also be useful. Now I think about it - I think that's for Windows, but I'll leave it in here for anyone else who might be interested I guess.
Feel free to add me on Steam if you have any questions about TCAdmin or anything else though - I'm very familiar with it :)
Edited Also, it's -port, not +port for clarification

The tool for Windows that Drizzy talks about is called Neustart, I use it myself and it just is a simple automatic server restart with some nice features.
