Libgmodstore "revived"
What is this?
Libgmodstore was originally made by Billy to assist content creators with customer support and customer engagement. (original thread here)
Sadly, he shut it down since 2018.
Because it is open-source (you're welcome if you want to change something btw) i was able to recreate the server part so anyone can use it again :)

Features
Ingame Menu
This is where server owners will interact with the library. It is opened by typing !libgmodstore in chat.
Script Update information
If a Gmodstore script installed on the server is outdated, a notification will appear in the server console and on the in-game menu.
Note: to support this the addon creator (or someone with direct access) needs to setup that addon on the website.
Update: Creators now only need to add the Lua for it to work, no setup required anymore!
Debug Logs
The user only need to Login via Steam (ingame) to upload a copy of the server's console.log.
To help with privacy, all IPs (except the server's one) will be removed from the Logfile before uploading.
Example: https://libgmod.justplayer.de/log/f26aa390-3b40-4a4a-94ac-54dfa1430e38
Debug Logs contain the following informations:
- Server IP Address
- Server Name
- Gamemode
- Average player ping
- Addons that are using libgmodstore (which includes:)
- Addon Name
- Addon Version
- Gmodstore ID
- SteamID of the Licensee
- User that Uploaded that log
There will be a message if the user need to enable -condebug.
Example Code for your addon
Images
There are images on the workshop page.
Great work my friend, hope people start using this :)
nice
Cool. Will probably add this to my addons once I get time :)
Thanks for the nice responds so far :)
Some small updates on the websites where deployed the last 2 days (i should do something to make it easier to see what changes):
New
- Addons, Logfiles and Notifications are now Paginated
- Notifications can now be deleted
- User Administration panel (currently only view)
- Addon 'owner' and Admins can delete Addons
- User will be notified if a Admin has removed their Addon
Fixes
- Wrong table html syntax
Still, if someone have feedback just let me know :)
New Change on the Addons page: https://hp.justplayer.de/id/p1yrSIG0Gl
It is now easier to add your addons by simply selecting the addon from a Dropdown
Sadly this requires more permissions but i can only access this information about your addon: https://docs.gmodstore.com/#tag/Addons/paths/~1addons/get
Creators only need to update the permissions of the key to enable adding new addons (it requires now Read addons and Read addon versions)
other small changes:
- Added "Lua" button where you can copy the required lua code
- small backend improvements
(i try my best to make the update infos the next times finished before i submit it)
Nice work. ;)
Now the Authentication window is in the same panel as anything else (no ugly popup if you want to upload logs, only a hidden DTab)
And for some creators only (currently still work in progress) i added a very simple Usage Statistics tool for Content Creators
(which can be disabled via console command and is disabled on default for all servers running the addon before 2020-06-25)
Maybe i should also provide a way to do the authentication stuff in the Steam overlay browser (just in case)
Statistics page is now ready to use, to have it enabled for your addon you still need to request it (still in beta) (image shows example data)
still, servers can disable this for every addon using libgmodstore in case they dont want to allow it :)

You should add a way for Addon developers to see how many users/day an addon has.
Implementing such a feature would be a big nudge, too big given by the interests of my service running on limited resources :3
(and the more i save the more i need to be carefull with because of privacy laws)
I redesigned libgmodstore a bit: https://hp.justplayer.de/id/kgocmlrpyr.mp4
As nobody likes default derma (for some reason) and i like it more flat i decided to do that.
I hope that everyone likes that too ^^
(nothing should break because of that but in case it will break something just make an issue on the github)
Update:
I fixed the backend to use the V3 api, now the only thing a creator has to do is to add the Lua code to their addon i provided as example.
I also removed all images in the post as they where cleaned up at some point on my server, there should be enough images on the workshop page.
Also added something you can use to check if the addon is combatible with the server (you can run any lua code in that to check that) and it will also show up in the uploaded logs if they work in the future again.
Yes it took 3 years for another update ^^
whats the point of this addon, looks useless
Debug Log Uploads, Version Checking.
It's more for addon developers, rather than something end users randomly install.
That being said, it's very useful for providing support, as JustPlayer said in the OP.
hmm
