How do you grow a community from point 0?
I'm in the process of finishing my server (about 80% completely). Most of the core stuff is done and what's left if the smaller QOL details to polish the RP quality.
My main issue I'm running into is starting from absolute zero. My G'Mod prime was over 5 years ago, so all of the people I used to make servers with have all moved on. I've got 0 staff, 0 managers, and no starting community. Posting in the Official Discord to find team members isn't allowed, so I'm stuck on where to even begin.
- How did you guys grow your community from nothing?
- Where did you find your initial staff / managers who stuck with you?
- How do I create that first core group that helps the community take off?

I would say the easiest way to grow is have a server up and running, try and get a few friends to join you to UP the player count and post your server on websites where they can be rated.
Advertisement is everything, so maybe post on Tiktok, YouTube, X, maybe see if you can interest some streamers to stream on you server and give them V.I.P or any special rank you may have.
Post on the gmod steam discussions, create a post explaining the server and maybe say "first 10 people that join the discord get 3 months free vip" or a in-game cash bonus (make sure you ask a question) like would you prefer this or this in the server so its not a straight up ad. It just needs to be interesting enough that it grabs peoples attention.
