replacing logo.png?

Hello, I have been trying to replace the logo.png in gamemodes, with a custom logo such as the one you see when you play ttt, however simply adding or replacing a logo.png does not seem to do anything at all. Any ideas?
there is the default sandbox one (just a normal gmod logo) this is what ive been trying to replace.
