Payment flow

This is how the payments are broken down if you buy a product that costs $14.99

1. If you are from the EU or Norway you have to pay a VAT fee based on your location. If that fee is 25% this fee is added on to the product price. In this case that would make it $3.75 bringing the total up to $18.74
2. The total sum is then split between authors, and the VAT (if applicable) and the commission fee goes to Pivity
3. $3.75 (the VAT) + $3.75 (given a 20% commission fee. Commission rates differ for various stores) to Pivity
4. $11.24 send to the author of the product you purchased

We recently updated to our own tailor made virtual wallet system that allows us to delegate funds and payments however we want without requiring a payment gateway to split the transactions for us.
