Presentation Requirements and Standards
THE PRESENTATION
When submitting a script, your presentation must be fully complete.
Your presentation should always contain the following:
- A short description as required by gmodstore when submitting.
- The short description should be a few sentences long and has no special formatting available. It is also used for SEO and will display when people search for your addon on search engines.
- A larger description and more in depth description of the product that you are selling.
- What does your addon do?
- Why is it beneficial to use for server owns?
- This more in-depth description should be your selling grounds.
- A list of all features with explanations if needed.
- There's multiple ways to do this. You can either include it in your "Description" tab as bulletpoints, or you can make a dedicated tab.
- Here's an example of using a new tab dedicated to the scripts features.
- Here's an example of using the description (main tab) to list features with emojies and categories.
- Here's another example uf using the description (main tab) to list features.
- An installation guide that your grandma should be able to understand.
- A good installation guide should include all steps required to setup the addon from A - Z
- Links to required content packs.
- This could be included in your installation guide.
- All content packs must be uploaded to the Steam workshop and included in your addon using resource.AddWorkshop.
- A video presentation of your addon.
- Images showing your addon.
It is also suggested that you document any configuration in your presentation that potential buyers would want to see upon buying your addon.
FREE PRODUCTS
We currently do not accept free standalone products. Instead this is intended for DLC, extensions or developer tooling.
USE TABS OR COLLAPSIBLES
GmodStore has a section for tabs in the developer dashboard once you've created the addon.

You will modify description and add tabs/collapsibles accordingly before submitting it for approval.
SETUP YOUR TEAM
Your team is displayed on the right side of your script.

It should have a valid team name representing your brand/developer. Having a default team name such as "Unnamed team#1234" will also get your addon rejected. So make sure to setup your team and it's description before submitting your script for approval.
ENGLISH ONLY
Your description should only be written in well formulated English. No other languages should be used in your description. This also extends to any media used on your store page. Videos and images should be in English. You may show off localization, but the primary language must be English.
NO CROPPED IMAGES
You should not "crop" your image so only the UI. It will look weird in the image displayer on gmodstore. Many people tend to do this with UI, but in fact it looks 10 times better if you don't crop it.
Recommended size for images are 1920 x 1080.
NO NON-FACTUAL TERMS/SENTENCES
Your addon name, description and banners should not contain any non-factual slogans or terms that give you a marketing "benefit" that is biased and not factual information.
Examples (not limited to) of what NOT to put in your addon name, descriptions or banners:
- The best ...
- The most advanced ...
- The most optimized ...
- The most realistic ...
Vague and non-factual terms such as "the best" "the most" or "most optimized" are hard to prove. Especially for newly released addons and these terms create an unfair biased marketing advantage that isn't backed up by anything.
You are allowed to put factual information. If your addon is has the most sales within it's category, then can put "best selling" in the title, description and media.
INSTANT DENIAL
The following will get your script denied for not following presentation requirements:
- Submitting a script for approval where there is only the "Description" tab and nothing else.
- Submitting a script with no media. Yes, media is a part of your presentation as well obviously...
- If your description is written in poor English it will also be denied. We have a certain standard for language and grammar used in descriptions.
- If your description contains of 5 lines with no extra tabs it will also be denied.
