Back in 2017 I made this addon purely because I thought it would be super cool and I really wanted it on my server - 3+ years on and it's my favourite addon I have ever made. Recently I was asked to add a feature to it, so I started recoding, and didn't stop! I have spent the last month and a half giving it a 2020 makeover, as well as some new features!
This is a huge update, and every line of code has been reviewed. I've done my best to bug test and hopefully I’ve caught everything, but on the chance I've missed something don't hesitate to make a ticket! You will have to redo your config - copying over from a previous version will not work.
I’ve never used DRM on my scripts - and don't plan to. But I am aware that this script has been leaked a fair amount so I ask, the leakers, to please consider that I've spent probably around 100 hours+ on this update alone and would really appreciate if it wasn't. I understand this probably will not make a difference but thought I’d say it anyway :)
UI
- Total visual overhaul for every interface
- New personal dashboard
- A new dark and light theme

Code
- Large overhaul of most frontend & backend code, will bring some efficiency increases overall
- The addon has now been split into small files, meaning it is much easier to edit from a developer standpoint
Menu
- Menu interface has been redesigned from scratch. I'd like to hear your opinions on this one (I've moved the descriptions to the news feed of the personal & business dashboard)
- Money collection and investment group list moved to personal dashboard
- Added notification for if you are unable to make an investment group as it's name is already being used
- Added notification for if you are unable to make an investment group as you already have one (can only be triggered by bypassing the UI)
Personal dashboard
- New personal account dashboard
- You are now unable to invest into your own group (to boost your reputation)
- Added notification for if you try to invest a negative amount
- Added notification for if your investment offering is successful
- Added notification for if you try to have a negative profit guarantee
- Added notification for if you are unable to afford the investment you are trying to offer to an investment group
Business dashboard
- You can now deposit your personal money into an investment group
- Added notification for if you are unable to afford to return an investment
- Added notification for if you have purchased advertising
- Added notification for if you were able to close your investment group or not
- Added notification for if you cannot afford what you are trying to deposit
Market events & news feed
- News feed has been redesigned and is now identical across the personal dashboard, business dashboard and event popup interfaces
- There are now multiple events for each market, with a config allowing you to easily add your own
- When pressing "Open stock market" on a market event it now opens the graph on the market the event is for
- Extra space for one more notification has been added (3 -> 4)
The market AI
- You can now set how often the stock market updates in the config (default is still every second)
- There is now the possibility a market can become worthless, and if this happens all assets in that market are deleted, meaning there is a real threat of losing all your money. The stock market will then reset itself to its original value in the config.
- The stock market now remembers its value over server restarts
- The stock market's AI has been changed - it is now totally random and will not try to stick around a certain number
- Stock market events are now also more likely to cause crashes rather than booms.
- Market events now happen over a period of 30 seconds, rather than only 20 seconds into the event
- Added notification in chat for if a market becomes worthless
Inside trading
- NPC's have been optimised (this includes a recode & it will now despawn if nobody is near it to save on FPS)
- You can type "(! or /)cleartraders" to clear all trader positions
- Inside trader will only speak to a player once per 30 minutes, meaning you cannot keep asking when the next event is so you can count it down
- Added check so will only try and warrant players on darkrp and no other gamemodes
The stock market graph
- Stock market graph now displays accurate guidelines so you can gauge how much the stocks are changing by (there use to be fake static ones in the background)
- Stock market graph now displays the prices and availability of all stock markets, rather than just the one you are on
- You can now go back to the personal dashboard & investment group dashboard from the stock market
- I have removed the "Zoom out" button as the graph doesn't display a timeframe, so it was quite confusing to what was actually happening. I might re-add in the future with a better implementation.
- Added notification for if you were unable to buy a stock position due to lack of cash
