CSLuaFile Problems

Last read Never
#1

I am trying to make a F4 menu following BrickWall`s tutorial.

DarkRP F4 Menu Tutorial - Part 2 - Painting/Buttons - YouTube

For some reason it does not show up, I do not get any errors but I do get this one print I am not familiar with.

I changed the name of the file because that is what I thought was wrong but I am still getting it and it is not loading.

Some help would be much appreciated!

[AddCSLuaFile] Refusing to AddCSLuaFile 'autorun/-- developed for gmod.store.lua' (<nowhere>) because its name contains dodgy symbols

The name of the file I am trying to add is "cs_f4_menu.lua" I am not sure if that is dogy. I have changed it many times and can not find a solution.

For some reason gmod store will not let me upload my code, I have put it in a pastbin

Link: Here is the code.cs_f4_menu.lualocal PANEL = { init = function(se - Pastebin.com

Its not an issue with your code, its an issue with a file name, do you have a file in autorun called "-- developed for gmod.store.lua"

#5

No I do not, do I need one?

#6

lemme explain.

[AddCSLuaFile] Refusing to AddCSLuaFile 'autorun/-- developed for gmod.store.lua' (<nowhere>) because its name contains dodgy symbols

this error literally says that you have a file called -- developed for gmod.store.lua and it is Refusing to include it because of its dodgy name.

you're welcome.

But I littraly have no file under that name what's so ever.

Disagree x 1
#8

Then that Error is unrelated to your file

Agree x 1
#9

Have you checked the autorun folder of all your addons?

Also this error doesnt have anything to do with your f4 menu, the error with that is on line 3 of your cs_f4_menu.lua file "init" should be "Init"

Thank you so much! I feel like an idiot but it is now working!
