Deciding between Dconfig2 and Brick's Essentials

Hello everyone, hope you all had a great week! If you guys have experience with both Dconfig2 and Brick's Essentials plugins, I have some questions for you.

I'm looking for an in-game configurable F4 menu, which both addons include.

From the shop page alone, Brick's Essentials seems to have more features in terms of gameplay than Dconfig2, but on the other hand, Dconfig2 seems to have more detailed and practical customizable features.

Both add-ons have the same $25 price.

I'm not sure which addon will perform better in terms of optimization?

The only concern I have with Brick's addons is that I've noticed that his addons haven't been updated in a while, and I'm worried that purchasing them now won't get me any support or bug fixes in the future, so I'd like to know if anyone has purchased his addons before. Is there anyone who has purchased his addons in the past who can share their experience and information about their support for these addons?

But at the same time, I'm also a little worried about Dconfig2 because the predecessor, Dconfig1, was only supported by the author for about a year or so before the sequel was released, and I'm worried that this won't be supported for too long before the next release!

I don't have any coding skills; I just want to set up a darkRP server for me to play with some friends. If anyone has experience (or advice on which one to choose) with these plugins and can share it with me, that would be great!

Thank you so very much and have a beautiful weeken! :)

Hey!

The creator of dConfig2 is quite active, although he sometimes does forget to respond to a ticket- he does offer really good support. Honestly it does make creating a server really convenient. Assuming you are making a DarkRP based server, you can use https://www.yourdevtools.com/gmod. It generates the code that you need for a server, all you need to do is copy and paste.

I did have some issues with dConfig2, so I stopped using it.

As for Brick's, I'd say its pretty solid. It works right out the box and the config is quite simple. Most of, or all the config is done in-game. Although the addon hasn't been updated in a while, it doesn't really need an update as of this moment. I'd say it's pretty perfect at the moment; it's great for starting up a server.

Hey! Thank you for your insights and all the useful information! I truly appreciate it :) May I ask you if Brick's addonwould let you edit, modify, or disable certain jobs? Thanks again!
