VCMod, new features or a new addon

Hey, I would like to say that, so far, I am in love with this new forum system, I think SF developers did an amazing job. This thread is also a small test of it aswel.

I would like to thank all of my loyal clients who supported me over the years. Withotu your support I would had been forced to leave my home-country.

I have dedicated most of my time developing new features for addons that are already out. These mostly include better versions of the existing features and some ports from VC2's large array of ideas.

However, time is very limited. I could use the time to develop a third addon, overhaul existing VCMod2 structures, code sub systems ontop of the base one. VCMod Main was created for the purpose of enhacing the vehicles ussage without touching its core mechanics. ELS is emergency centered. The third one would be the big one, parts of it are already complete, atleast the core systems. It would change completely how vehicles behave and redo them entirely. It would change how you view and interact with them completely. Can't go into too much detail, but this was never done before in garrysmod. You can get a few glimpses now and then in few of my shorter youtube videos.

So yeah, time is limited. Do I:

  1. Provide new features for free to existing addons?
  2. Create a third addon that will revolutionise vehicles?

Create a third addon that will revolutionise vehicles? > I find that this would be the better choice

Create a third addon. You describe it as a complete overhaul of VCMod, so there is no reason for it to not be a separate addon. You have provided enough free updates for the current one.

Create a third addon, didn't quite understand this? Was this the damage system etc from vcmod 2?

skip that step, create an entirely new fourth addon. they'll never see it coming

I don't have any ideas for DLC, but I think it would be a good idea to try and create some DLC sold separately.

If this is a rewrite of Vcmod Main, update it. If it's like ELS a new addons with other feature, do a DLC like ELS.

You have been updating your VCmod for ages now, you deserve some extra credit from another addon!

Depending on your definition of "revolutionizing vehicles" would influence my decision. Based on the things you've told me, I think the third addon would be an amazing idea since you never fail to impress.

But I'm also a greedy entitled freeloader who wants those sweet succulent VCMod updates. :^)

I got everything sorted. I'll try to squeeze in a few more features (like the VC2's realistic exhaust system). Will redo the ELS from scratch and then I'll start working on the third addon.

Revolutionise meaning it will change how you use, interact and behave inside vehicles. It will be the same entities, not a new entity, like scars. Partial code is already written in VC2.
