Regarding Jobs

Posting a job to have someone "populate" your server is not allowed. I'm tired of seeing them.

Same thing goes for any jobs involving illegal content such as SantosRP, or jobs that are looking for a "community manager". Hire someone to do that who actually plays your server, not from here.

I'll be updating the knowledgebase, but I want to get some feedback from you guys first. What other jobs have been appearing that are edging the line of actually existing?

I delete so many weekly that I lose track of what they were.

I don't know if this is in the knowledge base (probably isn't) but u guys should add it:

"Offer an actual set amount of money instead of saying they'll get a cut of donations" The amount of autists that add me and say "we'll give u 40% of donations if you do this that" is insane.

This is the current knowledgebase. It was always assumed under common sense but I can expand upon it.

I hate generalization, such as "server developer", and things which starts off with "community".

IMO every job should have a category based around lua coding/ graphics designs/ web development/ mapping, and should not fall out of these 4 big categories.

Most of the problem nowadays is people thinking GmodStore is a place to find "long-term" worker, instead of freelance job. Any job with a specific title, i.e. Manager, Advanced XXX, should be deleted.

People asking for map edits to maps such as the evocity series that have not had their vmf's publicly released should not be allowed.

Been busy, so these are all good suggestions. My goal is to redo the knowledgebase on jobs, so keep them coming.

There has been someone recently posting jobs about artificially increasing their playercount with bots etc... Like some baguette that posted the job 3 times asking for someone to make a bot that he could use on a VM to connect to his server.

This can get your server blacklisted if you are found to be actually artificially changing your playercount via the use of scripts. I think it shouldn't really be allowed here.

Sorry for this necro if it is one, but I suggest you remove jobs that include anything to do with darkrp devs e.g. creating jobs, seriously, it's not that fucking hard.

Eh, that's easy money, easy money is always good.

Yeah, but they're like everywhere, darkrp developing is the easiest thing to do unless you're flicking at core files and making it your own custom playground.

While it's not like a banned job, it's highly advised to not post jobs pertaining to darkrp jobs

Please don't ask others to make your DarkRP jobs for you... There's instructions in the DarkRP wiki and there's also The DarkRP forum.

You also forgot the very easy to follow template provided in the jobs.lua file.

Use common sense people!! If you're too stupid to research into how to make jobs for DarkRP. Or are too lazy to do it yourself, you shouldn't be running servers.

It's that simple!!
