Oh well. Leak malarkey aside - can we address the issue of Pheonix blatantly using ScriptEnforcer as a personal leverage to spite people he doesn't like?
I actually banned Drizzy for breaking the acceptable use policy, I guess it says it was Phoenix because he updated the ban. But then he doesn't even use the SE service now according to his previous post so it doesn't matter.
It almost feels like ScriptEnforcer is corrupt since they shouldn't take any personal things for a reason to ban nor talking bad about the service. When you actually abuse the system or use a leak, that's when people should get a ban. You don't ban people because they don't use the service, so I find that statement invalid.
My idea of a DRM service is completely different then ScriptEnforcer is doing, you should be able to trust a company who does not 'abuse' their service for personal matters. Also in my opinion, when a script uses DRM the buyer does not own it but he rents it for a one-time fee. When something is conflicting or something has to be changed it's just like the creator of it saying "Not my problem to fix it, you shouldn't have gotten the conflicting script then". This does not mean that all content creators act like this, some actually try to respond as soon as they can instead of waiting days.
What would be interesting is hearing one of the administrators opinions of having to go through a completely untrustworthy third party system (obviously from what this thread has shown) and see if they agree that you are required to go through them before the script works.
I've got opinions from server owners and moderators even content creators and they hate the idea of doing it, especially now after what tyrant actions have been executed in this thread.

You keep saying I've apparently never used SE, but it's nothing apparent, it's 100% fact. A good case study would be the scripts produced by Billy. While I own a few, and they mostly use SE I think - I've never used them with SE. I ask him for a non-SE version and he has no issue with it.
I have solutions for every single addon I use that has DRM that does not involve me cracking the DRM. Some I simply just end up not using - and if ever asked about them I tell people not to buy them because the DRM causes issues.

You did not ban me for creating an SE detour or using alts, I created the detour after Commander banned me for something which was a lie. You saw him do this and took no issue with it. Allowing Commander to utilise your service in such a way indirectly indicates this systematic abuse isn't new.
Regarding you not wanting me near SE - sadly that isn't a choice you get to make. REDACTED now even dumps your RunStrings, with built in XFusicator support coming soon (if you still use that)
How bad SE is and how badly DRM currently works in GMod is widely known. We don't need you flapping the bypass around like that, and especially not on our forums.

Because it concerns addons on this site, I've already said I don't give a shit about SE. And I honestly don't care at all, but drizzy has kept doing stuff like this for some time now and has been banned for similar situations before. Like getting his dumb friends group to spam the shit out of our forum with server host giving away free servers and shit, creating alts to keep trolling.
He's free to make a ban appeal.

They really don't give a shit if people shit on scriptenforcer here, the fact that he released a bypass without any check/verification that the user has bought the script is the whole issue because it unfortunately can be used to gather source code that you are otherwise not suppose to gather.

"A leak for it" ... This is a simple file.Write() line of code. Btw this is not SF problem but yours. It's just a guy who's looking to secure his server, not wanting anyone to be able to do anything on his server. Until he is not leaking the part of code on scriptenforcer, there is no problem. (for me)

Delete yourself, apart from the posts drizzy made this was an actual discussion on why people didn't like DRMs.

It is indeed the most stupid un-creative thing.
My fellow Co-Owner buys the scripts (I also give money for them) and i was forced to sign up for script enforcer just to add ONE addon that i bought on my account because 2 paid addons had DRM -.-
I cannot modify the ugly dframes that one of these scripts use and zero freedom of use.
In total we have spent $150 on scripts. if anything we should be aloud to do whatever the fq we like to them....
When you edit scripts, just keep in mind the creator can easily deny any support to you, as you may have managed to break something.
Try contacting the author, see if they will give you the source code.

Very good point but i wouldn't be dumb enough to ask for support if i knew that i broke it haha. But thanks for the tip. i should deffo ask for the source code, never thought about that.
