There aren't actually many well known GSP's which offer VPS's in the UK (most are in France, but sometimes like to claim the UK. There also seems to be a shift away from companies selling VPS's from looking at a wide range of reputable UK hosts).
But I do also suggest maybe looking for companies which aren't focused on the gaming scene as it can bring benefits (in some cases) of where the company is actually located in the data centre, which means much quicker support, especially for if a hardware error occurs etc. Though it could cost more and the DDoS protection may not be best suited for you, but its defiantly something I suggest you look into for if you plan to expand your community (or do it now and not worry about that later). I did this for my community a few years ago because lots of community's were using GSP's running from OVH's main datacentre which is in France or the UK's biggest host at the time, Nitrous networks, which were based on Bristol so when I started my community on a London host we had an edge on the server browser (for Londoners) due to the lower latency.
Now a days there are lost of UK hosts (which sell dedis or game servers, not VPS's) which means this tactic isn't effective anymore ;)

Uh you haven't actually told us what you want to do on this VPS, we could assume it's for hosting a Garry's Mod server but for all we know it could be for hosting your forums.
I would suggest looking into ExtraVM or WootHosting. Extra for Gameservers, Woot for the price
