Knowledgebase Entry: Purchasing Scripts -- Guidelines and Tips

I've tried to make this as friendly and informative as possible, and cover as much as I can think of at the moment. If anyone has recommendations, please reply with them here. I want to try and get a majority of common issues listed and answered.
