Payment Methods

We have been planning to add a credit/debit card payment provider like Stripe for a long time now, but we are still working on fully stabilising our payment system before we do so as we still have some instabilities with PayPal. Adding a new one now would just add more things that could go wrong while we still are trying to perfect the PayPal implementation :)

can you add g2a pay or skrill to the payment system plz

Hi,

We are currently working on adding Stripe. This will enable use of the following payment methods:

We will not add g2a pay, we've looked into it before and they take too many fees for it to be worth it for us.

Will you still be allowing PayPal?

Nope.

We're removing PayPal as an option entirely as they have started charging a 3% fee when withdrawing to a US bank account from Norway (Because GmodStore's currency is USD, we need to withdraw to a US bank account in order to avoid currency conversion fees).

The collective revenue of GmodStore (aka all creators) averages around $60,000 including VAT every month, meaning we pay on average $1,800 out of our own pocket every single month in order to pay out our creators and transfer VAT. This is in addition to a currency conversion fee we have to pay to transfer VAT as Euro as well, which also goes out of our own share of the revenue.

The lack of automatic withdrawals in PayPal is also a very annoying part of PayPal that makes it hard to continue supporting it as an option. It requires someone with the access to withdraw to do so every month, forgetting or being late at any point in time would result in having to pay out creators later than usual.

Hi, do you have news about adding stripe?

We're in the final phases of development, we only have a couple of more features to implement – but now a lot of testing follows 🙂

The only payment method I have is paypal, is there any other way I could still pay with it or can I just not buy anything anymore

Unfortunately, we can't continue to support PayPal.

Will there be every Payment Method listed in the list?

If yes? When will it happen?

Which list are you referring to? :)

Giropay would be pretty good.

Giropay will be added within a few weeks

Hey! Sorry to bother you!

Google pay seems to have vanished?

Am I doing something wrong? I'm on a chrome browser and signed in. Usually Google pay appears on like a banner at the top, but it's not there now...

Hey!

Do you by any chance not have a compatible payment method added to your Google account's payment methods?

The Google Pay icon should appear at the top of the Stripe checkout page if it detects that you have a valid and supported payment method.

Hey!

Yeah, I checked and double checked it before posting. I'm able to purchase via Google Pay on other websites with no issues. But the banner simply won't appear here.

I've cleared my browser cache, signed out and back in, uninstalled and reinstalled chome, disabled my addblock and tried other browsers (FireFox and Edge) just to check. I just can't get the banner to appear on this website.

It's strange because it was there 3-4 days ago when I made a previous purchase but it's gone now. Could it be that somehow?

Edit: Just in case, it's a valid card, not paypal or some other payment method that is assigned to the google pay.

I was curious Marcuz will you ever be adding Gift Cards From Mastercard? or no

MasterCard gift cards (and any gift cards in general) are usually region locked unfortunately. If MasterCard gift cards work they would already be supported in Stripe too.
