Looking for Community Lua Developer.
My name is Charles, I'm the owner and one of the founders of Lunar Gaming, a 300+ registered members Gaming community currently focused around Garry's mod. The idea and reason behind this post is to find someone whom is skilled past the beginner phase of creating garry's mod addons and is looking for a place to volunteer to help with, creating new content, addons, and repairing broken code. Links will be provided below for your own interest to check out the community and see what you think, and so you can educate yourself on the community. If you have questions please message me and if you are interested please fill out the template below and leave it as a reply.
What Is Lunar Gaming? Lunar Gaming is a gaming community created by myself, my amazing SO Panda, and long time friend MacBeast from the idea of starting a community that didn't allow the mindset of "It's just the internet so get over it" to feel at home, but instead welcome everyone and help cut down and remove the hostility, name calling, and unneeded rude jokes from the environment. We currently host a Trouble in Terrorist Town server which was in the top 700 on gametracker before dropping back down again. It contains many addons including Power Rounds, TTT custom Grenades, Custom Weapons, and more. We also host a DarkRP server which includes addons such as: Clicker Printers, Bank Vault, Enhanced Meth lab, Steam Group Rewards, and More.
Each server has had countless hours of work put in by myself, and a friend named Sam whom helped code minor things but does not have the knowledge or ability to code the larger unique things we are attempting to create. Hence I've been trying to find someone interested in working with a larger community that may offer pay if the money needed is there, since the community runs off my own personal cash and donations.
The reason I'm looking for someone like this is that I need someone I can rely on, work closely with, and have around when ever needed to help grow our servers beyond what they have already have accomplished.
If you are interested but don't care much for posting below, throw me a friend request on steam and we can talk.

Info About Me: My name is Charles, I am currently 20 years of age, and I've been working with gaming communities for 5 years. I've been everything from Lore writer, and Social Media Administrator, to Developer, and Community manager. Now I aim for a new goal after spending two years working in one of the most toxic gaming environments I've ever seen to create a place free of toxicity. My hobbies include coding (though I don't have much free time to do so), Guitar, Film Making, Gaming, and more.
P.S: to all mods on this forum, I asked Marcuz about creating this post and he told me it was fine.
You came up with an application for people to write just to work with you, why do you think we would want to work with you anyway, without you even showing anything about your server or yourself?
You aren't even offering pay either.
You say pathetic, but honestly the community just gets by on donations and the money I have to cover the rest, it's been lucky enough to have the support of many to keep it going but still has cost me a lot personally, which I cannot really afford to dish out money to developers, hence I'm just asking for anyone looking to try their hand at working with a larger community in return for knowledge and experience.
As for not showing anything about myself or my server(s), I'll edit the post above and provide more info.
Can't say I necessarily support this. Any community that survives solely through donations may not last long, and loses a lot of respect from me.
This thread seems more like an advertisement for their community/servers. No one I know would seriously help someone who comes on to forums posting threads like this.

Every single darkrp community started with this in mind. Why are you different?
(though I don't have much free time to do so)
If you don't have much time to code how do you have time to run a community? I seriously doubt getting the coder from elsewhere is the solution.
So pretty much this far we've had your financial situation come into call, and your ability to actually have time to work on this community.
I'm not sure why someone who would want to help you wouldn't just start their own community up, as it would be more secure, and better, than what you're offering.

I guess I worded my post poorly, we don't survive through donations, and we keep enough money in the account for hosting to last us just over 6 months in case anything happens, along with that I've always been and always will be willing to pay for everything if donations do not coming, we've just been lucky enough to have them coming in at a steady pace to help us cover the costs of hosting.

My free time is put into fixing bugs and managing the community, along with working.

I totally agree, honestly I don't show much in the way of offering, the financial situation is perfectly fine and more secure than most communities I've seen, and my ability to have time to work is spent managing the community which is why I don't have enough free time to learn lua and garry's mod scripting to be able to split my time into making unique addons while still keeping the community under control. I created this thread to try something different and out of the norm, give a newer developer the chance to work on something decently large and help us grow beyond what we already have.

I don't think you understand how retarded (I'm not saying you are, i'm saying this is a common mistake too much peoples make)this question is.
Plus, lua devs, i mean the real ones, don't need you, they will not work for you, they will work on a real company or over there, because they can make much more money.
I made one single addon (with one DLC), a french dude wanted at the start to buy my addon so he would be the only one to have it .... and for only 30€, guess what, i made like 1400$ since it, just remove scriptfodder license, Paypal taxes and ScriptEnforcer and it's still much better.
DEVS DO NOT NEED YOU
GET A JOB DUDE
Lunar Gaming is a gaming community created by myself, my amazing SO Panda
That's a really cool story, i can't wait to see the movie.
i enjoy putting every language i've seen but never have touched on my bio too rabbit!!

I've taken courses in each of those, but I appreciate people trying to falsify that. I've been working with communities for years, and learned most of those in order to modify, repair, and remove bugs from other peoples projects such as websites, minecraft plugins (that are open source), modifying Gmod addons, etc.
Examples of my work: Beam Minecraft plugin (Java) 2D Game (C#) Xenforo Website Modifications (HTML, CSS) High School Computer Science Course (Ruby) Creating basic weapons for TTT, Modifying existing open-source addons (Lua)
Sorry, I felt a strong desire to just explain where my knowledge of languages stems from, and I thought others on my profile might enjoy having some knowledge of me such as my hobbies and programming knowledge as it's a big part of gaming.
This post was an attempt at something new, asking kindly for the help of others in return for experience and possible future pay for their work, I understand most developers will not work unless they get paid a nice sum of money for their work. In other communities such as minecraft you can find the odd few younger lads and ladies looking to just get hands on experience working with a dedicated machine, bungee server, etc. Thank you for your creative criticism.

Just cause you used a language doesn't mean you know it nor are fluent in it. I use php all the time but I'm no where near fluent, also in general gaming no one cares if you're a programmer they just care if you're going to help carry the team or not lol.

I don't even know what "fluent" means in english, i bet it's something like "good", but i can't be 100% sure.

Correction:
Examples of my bullshit work:
Mine-craft plugin (Java) Correction: I followed a basic template
2D Game (C#) Correction: I followed a basic tutorial
Some Website Bulshit (HTML, CSS) Correction: I changed the logo on the screen (HTML and CSS isn't coding you tool)
Ruby Course (Ruby) Correction: I did some easy course and completely forgot about it. I am an autistic child.
Creating basic weapons for TTT, script kidding other addons (copy/pasta). (GLua, for the sake of the retard I fixed this part) Correction: I followed a template, about as easy as making a shitty DarkRp Job
" Sorry, I felt a strong desire to just explain where my knowledge of languages stems from,"
You're a fucking tool man. You don't know how to program, please stop.
