UK General Elections 2017

Is anyone planning to vote? For which party and why, or if you don't want to say who your voting for, what party you think will make a difference?

The media seems to be going mad about how important it is to vote but I think that theres definatly going to be some biased work going on with the voting system. I know most of this won't even apply to like 80% of the british community on GS since their all under 18 but either way, what's your thoughts?

I'd probably vote Labour.

Although I did want to stay in the EU I believe it was the best decision to leave looking at it now and what will happen in the future. It's affected my job heavily but it only seems a few parties actually want to adapt to the whole brexit change rather than some mongs that want to have another referendum - which is fucking dumb as democracy is democracy, stop crying if you don't get what you want - there are lots of benefits from each party in all fairness, like free university from the Green Party but personally this will not affect me as I would be funded to go to university by my employer.

I'm also a massive fan of the £10 minimum wage which is fucking brilliant for me as mines only a fraction of that at the moment, being classed as an apprentice, but I'll be in full time employment soon.

At the end of the day, I think Labour will honestly win as majority of these conversations that I have end up with Labour being the better choice. It's all down to personal preference, how it will affect you, or even your company if you own one. I personally believe that you choose to vote what will benefit you or your family, anyone that votes for a party just because Claire, 45 who lives in a council flat with 3 kids, doesn't get free school meal package with her benefits is fucking dumb. (Unless you are Claire)

But there are many advantages and disadvantages to each party, it just depends what you want to weigh against what.

Not to mention, I don't want Theresa May blocking my internet access to free midget porn.

I'm voting Labour, I do really like Jeremy Corbyn as he's one of the only leaders that seems to want to change things for the younger generation, whilst you have the conservatives that do the opposite

not to mention this haha

Alot of labour supporters here which is good since it's who I'm voting for because of their JC is saying he's gonna do and their manifesto, which basically beats all the other parties. Quite interested to see whos gonna vote for the tories or even UKIP

UKIP are out of the question they're a joke. Guaranteed people who vote for them are called Keith and are in their 40's yelling racist comments at the TV all day. Not to mention their ex leader who's life goal was to get us out the EU, only to move to Spain!!! How hypocritical, moaning about immigration then migrating to another country to live there.

I do agree with you, to an extent, I believe that Labour is the best option going but I think we need to remember that they are politicians and not everything on their manifesto will be ticked off so it's important to also have a neutral approach to it. He can say he's gonna do it but doesn't mean he will. I mean, David Cameron blagged on about fixing the housing market for ages, giving figures that were not even met by 50% each year.

Edited Also waiting for someone to argue conservatives and Matt bans them like on discord.

what the fuck is the "Monster Raving Loony Party"

They're a party which has been around for years, basically doesn't really care what happens and don't have any views.

I went to sleep seeing the votes on labour were like 1.6% and tories were I think 1.2% so my expectations were that Labour had this in the bag but when I woke up, that wasnt the case anymore unfortunatly. So yeah we're all pretty much fucked now.
