Crident.com is disolving.

Today (8/17/2022), the UK company listing stated Crident's Company Status was updated to Dissolved.

This will fully go into effect on the 23rd of August 2022, and any time after this will be considered operating illegally.

This is probably going to end up similar to the the US server situation where all servers are shut down without notice to the customers, and backups will never be provided.

The reason for this thread is to warn potential customers, or current customers as there is absolutely zero transparency seen from Crident.

It is an extremely sad situation some are being forced into with this dissolution. Nothing is more difficult than having your community, your livelihood put at risk. To offer compensation to affected customers, they have arranged a deal for anyone seeking a fresh, reliable solution.

Physgun is a hosting provider partnered with GModstore. Although new, it boasts many modern features as well as a top-notch support team. If your location is available, you can take advantage of this deal by simply joining the Discord and contacting !Anthony#0001.

Something seems a little sketchy here. Physgun uses wisp.gg which is another company owned by the owner of Crident

wisp is a seperate company with multiple owners and a large team . I see no reason for wisp to be at any risk

This is really suspicious, Joined their discord to give them advise to apply for an administrative restoration since it's now illegally operating and was banned from the Discord server.

It really seems like the owner knew this was going to happen since they didn't pay for the company taxes and it has had since April to bring the accounts into order.

Does not look good for the business I've already contacted the integrity complaints to see what they can do in regards to the company being dissolved and spite still operate well knowing they are dissolved.

Such a shame really. I hope he does right by the customers but I feel like it's already way to far gone unfortunately and will probably end up like the US server situation and everyone looses data

To add to this I ended up contacting companies house which is the government organization that manages companies in the UK they are contacting the company to remind them of their responsibilities and tell them to remove any trace of their old limited company.

I feel bad for the customers, Their trusting their data on servers which are honestly just a ticking time bomb I'm sure many are already moving after the US situation since that was honestly a mess but who knows what will come out of all of this if Crident is restored as a company entity or if Jack decides to come clean and shutdown the company and if it's the latter then will he honor an extra month so customers can move or will he just shut it all down causing more data loss.

As someone who operates their own companies it's not hard to keep on top if you don't know the right paperwork that is what a company lawyer and a tax agent is for it's not hard to stay compliant these are business expenses even as a small business it's worth it or do research and learn company compliance yourself it's not hard it really seems like the whole aim was to avoid taxes because they couldn't afford it which adds up when you consider that their US servers went down randomly and all the data was lost with zero communication it seems like they wanted to hide the fact they were downsizing to scrape money together and it seems they didn't get enough in time this is all speculation but I can't see any other reason to why they weren't paying or filing the paperwork required it's just really sketchy and the only loser in this whole situation is the customer who is losing their data and money.

The worse part about all of this is if you do research into their company documents you can see their last 2 years of filings are dodgy with negative income reported considering their size and customer base, low asset value causing their end result to be negative income meaning they can push forward the negative into another year to pay less tax basically they paid $0 in tax last year and the year before despite the companies growth, I doubt anyone would have noticed if they filed this year properly but the fact they haven't and caused this fiasco people will see this as they look a little deeper and I wouldn't be surprised if they got investigated for tax fraud as they are definitely not reporting their true income.

Glad you reached out to company house, Crident is also obviously in contact here is the latest information from the Crident discord in which drizzy has been fairly transparent about the process. "Regarding claims the company is closing down, and the claims the company is operating illegally, etc. We are in communication with companies house - we've been told by them that the dissolution has been withdrawn, however we need to resolve other issues before the company is active (I assume, I don't work there). We haven't been asked to stop operating." https://gamepanel.notion.site/My-Statement-7a4c53f78aae41f2954f8d6f19c7b1dc

While I would usually trust Drizzy unless he shows actual proof I don't think he has the right to ask for anyone's trust after the past few months.

Not very good customer service, either. My server, my community, has been offline for at least 2-3 weeks now, with no ticket reply. They've already charged my card on file, and I still receive no service. There is a date and time to exit a business if you cannot manage customer assets, customer service, business products, and business service.

My preferred method:

  1. 100% transparency. Are they dissolved? Are they still operating?
  2. Transition period: "Okay, 2 months from X date, Crident will no longer be operating." as an example. Users should be aware of it, and the time table made public. It should -not- be a surprise to users, nor should they have to learn about it from 3rd party sites or the Discord server itself.
  3. Tickets should still be answered; staff kept on to manage the load. There was a statement on Discord regarding 100+ ticket queues.
  4. Servers should be kept online until the last day; again, it should not be a surprise.

You shouldn't have been charged again, please contact me somehow - my Discord is drizmans#0001 or you can email [email protected] and that should get to me

If you have a ticket open, we aren't going to forget about it, we will respond to every ticket and process every refund and provide every customer with their files. There is a form you can fill out for your files, that might be faster than the ticket here: https://forms.gle/ca96wuYmt321uXU36

I am sorry for the poor experience. I am going to be doing everything I can to get Crident back on the tracks. I'm not giving up and leaving people high and dry. The US closure was a clusterfuck and I'm embarrassed with how I handled it

  1. 100% transparency. Are they dissolved? Are they still operating?

We are still operating and don't plan to close down our EU operations or the company.

  1. Transition period: "Okay, 2 months from X date, Crident will no longer be operating." as an example. Users should be aware of it, and the time table made public. It should -not- be a surprise to users, nor should they have to learn about it from 3rd party sites or the Discord server itself.

  3. Servers should be kept online until the last day; again, it should not be a surprise.

I agree with all those statements. I wish I'd done things differently, right now I'm focusing on getting the ticket backlog (including any refunds or server files that are still pending) so our customers aren't left in the dark while there are a lot of fear, uncertainty and doubt. I've been putting most of my updates through Discord if you're interested in updates.

Just received a confirmation as of today that the company is definitely still dissolved as stated on the company information services as it's up to date.

You can still see it here https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11384484

Only reason I am even posting this is to make sure people are aware of this and not being fooled by a statement that was made with no evidence of correspondence or verifiability like public records still showing the company as dissolved and being banned from the discord server to me shows the intent of hiding this information.

Edit: to add as well the companies house won't tell you to stop trading but you know your rights as a business, when a company isn't active it has no legal right to trade as that entity so it's just commonsense they won't tell you how to run your company

Sorry for the slow reply - but you're wrong, companies house would tell you to stop trading if they wanted you to stop trading. They explicitly told us we can continue trading, and advised us on how to do so while the restoration is ongoing. I'm planning to update the site and stuff today. This was part of their reply a few days ago.

Did you not read my message properly "When a company isn't active it has no right to trade as that entity" As they said you need to remove all mention of the entity and stop misleading consumers by claiming to be a limited company when in fact you are not anymore. Don't try to say I was wrong when the email you just posted a screenshot of mentions exactly what I was referring to you have no right to trade as CRIDENT GROUP LIMITED which is the limited company.

Considering you have had 3 months and now another month to sort this out I am really concerned for your customers, Not to mention you should make a statement on discord letting existing customers know you are currently not able to trade under the limited company and that you are "working" on resolving this so they are aware of their rights as consumers until you resolve this matter. Don't leave people in the dark because that is just a one-way trip to losing more customers.

Majorly because most your customers probably believe they are dealing with a registered company when you aren't so anymore, It's only the right thing to do by your customers to be open about the issues instead of trying to tip tow around and trying to avoid questions until you can't.

Would just like to bump this thread now as Crident is officially closing down on October 15th.
