yea on a few there is but there are others where there are no explenations, and only drag&drop it into the addons folder doesnt work

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but why on earth would you pay out money to rent a gmod server without doing any research whatsoever into how to run it?

hello yes i know i was too fast in buying mods worth of nerly 200$ lol, but now i got an extra motivation right? else id loose that money for nothing ;)

thanks for that video Dan, i watched your video but sadly it didnt help me further, i use filezilla and got a server from g-portal so the whole thing is a bit more complicated,i did delete everything and set it up new and add only 2 mods just to check if it works but its still the same, my server has CSS mounted and got the darkrp script running,

i think im missing a main thing here isnt there like a control panel or something in game where i can configure my addons or other game configurations or do i have to edit everything in lua?

What are you trying to actually do now? Have you managed to get the addons installed onto your server by adding them to your .../garrysmod/addons/ directory or are you now trying to configure them?

Each addon is different regarding configuration. Whilst some do have in-game configs that you can use, the majority of addons require you to edit a Lua config. This is usually pretty clearly defined in one file which should have "config" in the name, but there will also almost always be instructions for how to configure an addon in the description on the gmodstore page.

first i just wanted to add a different f4 menu, i did buy accidently 2 and tried them both but neither does work for me, the currently f4 menu mod i got is the blackberry minimalistic f4 menu, i did add it to the addons folder and i deleted the normal f4 menu in the darkrpmodification folder, the strange thing is when i join on the server there are alot of yellow warnings coming (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197973597909/screenshot/786357653793063652) the second mod i added is an arcade addon that adds a gambling machine and this one works, and for the other addons i got there are just a very few that explains how to install and they all can be installed by simply adding it to the addons folder... thanks for the help i know i probably spell a bit strange but thats because i got a different main language but i hope you get what im trying to say

With the error that you're getting there, it's possible that you're gettng another Lua error coming up beforehand which is causing this issue to happen. If you're having issues with a specific addon, however, and you are sure you have installed it correctly, I would recommend that you create a support ticket to get help from the author, who will be able to give you the best insight: https://www.gmodstore.com/help/tickets/create/addon

there is no instruction in this addon on howto install it, and i did contact the creator of this but im waiting for his second response, his first was i should read the tab installation and i have no clue where to find that... i would really appreciate if you can explain me the very basics of the simple file adding, do i need to put those files of the addons that got like the same folder name as in the darkrp master in the darkrp master files? its not the first time for me implementing addons to a game so i got a bit of a basic knowledge, i did search in google and youtube but i didnt find anything that explains my questions

If you dont know how to use addons then i'd suggest spending more time reserching it instead of going straight into it.
