Give Nutscript A Chance Please Lol.

I'm just making this thread since obviously, Gmodstore is a very "DarkRP Dominated" service, and i feel that it'd be cool for developers to add support for nutscript to their addons, I know for most addons it's just changing 1 line which gives the player NS currency opposed to DarkRP money but yano.

Better support Clockwork as well, lol

That's only because DarkRP is the dominant gamemode. Hardly anyone asks for nutscript or clockwork support making it not worth the developers time.

I do get asked to do that now and then. And I did add support, but there are a hell a lot more differences than just the money methods. Mostly with them overriding various stuff or not using proper hooks.

I can see why there are limited amount of people supporting these gamemodes.

Well you do have the best selling addon on gmodstore. I think I've only been asked about SantosRP. Not sure what that's based off if it does deprive from another gamemode that is.

Nothing, afaik and it sucks anyway. it has its own vehicle system too, not sure if you can disable it or not w/out hacky method.

clockwork is ran by a retard who's sending false legal docs to 2 developers who are making something amazing but took away the annoying advertisement screen advertising clockwork.

If it was as trivial as you make it sound you should have no problems making your addons work with NS?

Im sure gmodstore wouldn't turn down nutscript add-ons and plugins as long as they were good and not copies of stuff on GitHub. that being said current creators would have to learn nutscript and convert which would take a lot of time, and since there currently is not a developer wiki for nutscript as of right now(its in the works ATM) a lot of the current developers don't want to go the hard and long route when nutscript isn't very huge at the moment. I'm looking at maybe releasing some hud's and items I've made for nutscript here once I have the money to buy a dev subscription. only thing i can see being hard to analyse is huds in NS are 1 lua file in the plugins folder most of the time so have a feeling that mods will have to adabt to it being alot smaller then what they normally see

CityRP has a nice hud. And for content creators there is a Nutscript discord for help new forums etc. It has recently been 'taken over' by a 'new' developer. The original author Chessnut was being helped by Back Tea aka Rebel1324 now Chessnut has a absence from Gmod now so Black Tea is carrying it on. It's not that hard to get support now. Forums is: http://nutscript.net not 100% sure what the discord is.

there is no more dev subscription idk what rock you've been living under but p much almost a year now it's been commissions now.

anything related to Garry's Mod is allowed (with the exception to executables, and shit like that) but honestly unless your heads up displays are unique and good you're probably not going to have much luck getting them accepted cause of how easy it is to make huds.

The same standards apply to nutscript addons that apply to all other addons- if the script is too simple or of poor quality, it'll be denied.

Oh had no idea it was commision based now, i dont keep up with stuff, and thats the thing with nutscript is you can do stuff very simply, you can make a whole nice hud in about 50-100 lines of code it wouldnt be flashy with animations but it would be nice, and thats, where i think nutscript, will have a issue becasue alot of plugins and such are super small in terms of code but do amazing stuff
