Context Menu Broken after Gmod update
So shorty after getting my server backup after a gmod update many things were broken that I had to fix including a segmentation fault things just kind of broke all over even the database did not mount properly. After its all said and done im stuck with this issue that has no error message. The context menu is constantly enabled but does not show anything a context menu should and as many times as you try to bring it up nothing happens . This was also an issue with the itemstore inventory system as it brings up a little inventory at the bottom of your screen so it was stuck there at all times so I disabled the inventory coming up under the c menu and that lead me to believe that it was constantly toggled yet nothing is showing up. Anyways just wondering if anyone has had this issue besides me Ive been trying to fix it or looking for people with the same issue for the past 3 days and nothing so far any help would be appreciated.
The new update broke a ton of things around GMod. Any legacy style addons added to many servers existing prior to the update will not work. I am unsure about servers created after the update. I have also been looking for a fix, but it appears there is no current published solution to this problem until someone figures out what changed in the base coding so drastically. Addons that only come from the workshop will work fine though. It only has to do with legacy addons. If I had to guess, Valve blocked those addons for some reason, most likely in the name of "security." I'm guessing that there is an unresolved problem with the update that was designed to keep players from inputting hack coding on local machines, but it accidentally is working against server files as well.
This glitch happened to me. It turns out it was actually a feature inside of my anti cheat (GAC) Causing that. Hope this helped in a way?
