My Script Hello
Hello community.
Today I attempted to submit my first script to gmodstore. The response I received was less than kind. I could honestly care less about how rude of a person you are under the guise of just doing your job. That's on you in the end not me. However, I submitted the script in answer to a need for a more basic and still available (to gmodstore) anti-cheat that is not cake.
This is/was a very early release and I was hoping that, with incentive, more versions will come. The script will look nicer. A vgui will be built. These things are/were planned.. I have many todo's.. but I suppose not if you don't even allow me to Attempt to list here for whatever reason your curator's claim. I can tell you that it's completely functional and does exactly as stated.
So: If you come back here and backup their decision, I'll let it go and delete the script from existence, because I don't need it. Otherwise, I'll resubmit. Let me know. Thanks.
So, to recap: You're trying to sell your first script (check) Your first script is an anti-cheat, which are notoriously complex (check) You're trying to sell an unfinished script (check) And you're expecting to get accepted...?
This isn't your little testing corner.
if you submit trash it will be denied if you submit a script that meets the quality standards then it will not be denied it really isn't any more complex than that, you should continue coding and improving it then resubmit in a month or two when it's more up to scratch
is it better than tyler's anti-cheat

This is just the beginning... it gets a LOT worst. Not to mention, by the way you comment your stuff, you do not take this serious. And this is not the place to be testing your code.
Enough said.
I mean, you shouldn't really try to sell your first scripts because they're probably bad and you're just gonna get upset over it. You should also take it more seriously and instead of saying "TURN OFF THE HAX YU KIDDIE CODE" You should really say something different. I also seriously don't understand why you're making an anti-cheat as your first script, they're really difficult lol

Curious, is their any actual AC code? Or is it just that?
quality anitcheat by an experienced developer
Is it really that hard to make your own IP ban?
This whole script is just about as effective as pretty please asking a client not to cheat, you can literally just detour every function (like basically every cheat already does) and have bypassed it. If you want to bypass the cvar check just do timer.Remove("ermahgerdoe")
Tldr even someone who is shit at writing cheats and has never bypassed a decent anticheat in their life can bypass this
Edited If you want to bypass the whole thing you can use this wonderful script
Edited
yeah right
u better dont fuck with him, according to his avatar he's in anonymous
pls dont hack my fps

is that what you tried to submit? if so, then lol
I'm well aware the commenting is hilarious. I made them myself, so I expect nothing less than the best of laughs.
That said. Why can't funny be serious too?
It does it's job while returning zero false positives. Also, you cannot simply 'timer.Remove' and win. I didn't know anything about the detouring SuperAdmin clientside, makes sense though thank you for that... But again, if you pay attention, it is just a print. It's not actually Letting you do anything.. Now, I never coded Lua before this script, but it's functional. It does it's job, and while taking it seriously I had fun with it. If you don't like the messages returned during the ban or what have you- sure, fine, ok but to tell me never to resubmit that's a bit far for a fully functional script.
I get it, though. This pass it did not meet your standards. I'll leave it where it may lay. It shall decompose as all code does in it's dormancy, we all know that is fact.
p.s. That Pillar of Success is in the process of being trademarked, would appreciate you not stealing those perfect 28 lines of amazingness, kay?
can i call it the pillar of autism?
I think this just changed to “my script goodbye”.
"Now, I never coded Lua before this script" and you think this should be posted on the gmodstore? Like, you're dealing with REAL money and you're expected to have experience, and know what you're doing. This reason solely could be the denial reason.
Jokes aside, your first ever add-on can be successful, I have seen this happen time and time again. But you have to understand that you are starting at a disadvantage. You have to be aware of your own lack of abilities and try as best as you can while being as professional as possible instead of these childish comments in every line of your work. So far, you have only shown is that you do not take this seriously and are merely trying to earn a quick buck out of fillable people.
Not too sure what you were expecting was going to happen.

I don't think anybody has been daring enough to make an AC as their first script and not realize they've bitten off more than they can chew soon after
Hey Richard what's that code web thingy?

I once had a classmate in college who has decided to make his own fully working operating system from scratch.. This is nothing. And meh, its possible.

he probably had passion what he coded in or just the whole OS in general.
this script barely shows any of it by the snippet of code and the other bits posted elsewhere, you can make something complex if you really want to especially if you want to do it in that language, feels like he's forcing himself into lua because "ez money" or some shit, when you force yourself into a language and don't like it but really want to learn it you're gonna struggle hard, and that's what I think this case is all about.
it's like cooking, you'll be shit unless you really have the passion to cook something good and learn, which again this script lacks
