Playing a full screen video on player join server?

If I join a server with a loading screen spamming shitty anime music (or any music in general) I will hit that disconnect button instantly.

it's not a loading screen that I'm looking to do, or an OpenURL. It's a fullscreen video explaining all the rules and etc.

Just use a generic MOTD, if you force someone to watch a video on explaining rules, chances are they will leave.

edit: you could also link the video to them, or if a MOTD supports it, add it as a tab or something

Just my opinion here on what i've seen. Players typically can barely play gmod on low graphic settings or at least %60 of them, they already have trouble connecting. Even if the video doesn't slow them down, they will say it's the videos fault and complain or worse not populate ur server. I look around at big successful servers and what they do and why do they do it. Currently none of the top servers use a video loading.

I support devs who work hard i don't use any leaks or any of that crap. I'm a guy who is trying to be a part of this community, all i did was make a simple post telling the guy my opinion on a full video on his loading screen. To be honest i don't see anything wrong with my post about it, it's true none of the big servers use it, so there must be a good reason.

Anyways, it doesnt feel good to be bashed by devs here on the community, i see why others don't comment much. Sucks that you all are making such harsh evaluations of my small community. But at least we are honest decent people, not the ordinary gmod skids.

If all you guys are going to do is bash a respectable supporter of this community, and stalk my forums etc trolling us, i will just agree to let you be my scriptfodder bully and stop.

I know how you guys work, you'll just try to cause trouble for me. All i was doing was trying to help another community member.
