GMOD Server Launcher

So i've been watching and playing alot of FiveM and i've noticed that some communities have their own standalone server launcher application, that when you click for ex. "Play" inside the launcher, it will open said game and automatically connect you to that server.

I was curious if there is something similar for gmod, and if not, could there possibly be a way to create one? (im not asking someone to make one, this is all hypothetical)

I also get that the dedicated server browser in gmod works fine, i just like the launcher idea for aesthetic purposes :)

Not the first time someone's had this Idea. Owain's server tried to do it a while ago.

While they aren't hard to make, the problem is that it isn't really useful since Garry's Mod has a pretty useful server list built into it, unless the server uses a modified client of Garry's Mod, which almost all server's don't. Doesn't stop you using one tho I guess.

Ye, trust me from experience:

The only point in having a server launcher is when your users clients require things like DLLs (Which aren't natively installed when joining servers, like Lua files are). I guess you can do cool things like have Discord rich-presence on your launcher, but it's not easy getting people to show interest in using it. The server browser is simply too effective for anyone to want to use anything else.
