I'm not saying the ping is ridiculously high. I was just concerned because ping is a really big deal breaker to Garry's Mod servers due to the way they are ranked. I actually liked how my server performed and the processors you guys are using, it's just the ping of which pushed me over.

I'm sorry you had an issue with that, with our new gateway we will be Caching A2S_INFO packets which will in turn help listing on the masterlist due to lower pings.

If you are still a customer, feel free to directly contact me and I will gladly help you.

Alright so keep in mind that im not a noob when it comes to running a server. I know what to do etc and installing the map manually aint an issue but the main thing im looking for is a strong server. Ive had nitrous before but for some reason, at the start its all good but then the server becomes more and more unstable and i dont know why it does. I thought some fucking 12 year olds kept ddosing me and they confirmed it but after that was dealt with it just got worse. So having a strong ddos protection is deffo needed and a strong cpu for the server to run on. NN was good but i had at least over 100 addons which ran smoothly at the start but then got slower and slower as time progressed

Hosthavoc or NFO are p good choices for performance, you seriously don't need DDoS protection as much as you think unless you're the top rated darkrp server.

Sites that make you pay for dedicated IP's are cunts btw, most companies that are professional in what they do give you free dedicated ips' cause they know if you have a non-dedicated one connection issues will happen.

I'm unsure what you mean with connection problems, but offering a dedicated IP to every client at budget prices just isn't possible. A dedicated IP really isn't necessary and is there as an option if you want it. If I knew having a non dedicated IP would cause connection issues, we wouldn't be offering it :)

I'm sure if you are paying premium prices at NFO for example, you should be getting a dedicated IP.

I use to own a server and I saw the dedicated ip option and never bought it, I could not connect to my server what so ever, nor could my friends, after 2 shitty months of waiting on tech support (never get MPServ worst hosting company ever) they said I needed a dedicated ip, I bought it (2.99 more ffs) and everyone stopped having connection issues.

NFO's prices are $2-4+ higher than most cause they got actual performance packed inside their servers instead of what most hosting companies do:

ddos > performance in their heads

I doubt that was caused by the IP, we aren't seeing any issues regarding that anyway.

NFO are actually double our prices, we currently run at £0.35/slot (with £0.30 being 32 slots deal), NFO are up to £0.70 per slot, with their profit margin I can imagine they are giving out Dedicated IP's. With this, a 32 slot server will run you $28.79 at NFO and only $13.30 with us.

Edit: Actually, NFO are even more expensive in their EU location this being up to £0.76/slot. I'm not saying NFO are overpriced in any way, I'm aware of their premium network and pings. They do actually have decent DDoS Mitigation, from past experience of being with them it takes a good 50-60Gbps to get your IP nullrouted. Using Internap they have very good pings across the US and to EU locations.

Tbh I agree. NFO are so fucking expensive and since I'm a student, that already means my life is shit as it is. Having something cheap but decent id prefer that over expensive. I just wanna run my server without having to go too far into my wallet

Not playing a local game. NFO has high prices cause of the technology they use along with the vast amount of customers they have. They sell probably the most high quality servers for almost no downside. I have a site with them and I get 0 downside apart from limited connections which I don't care about. Plus that free webhosting with a server is top-notch.

Jeez, I've never seen a source server go up to port 27268 before. Unless they are doing some trickery with their IP's to go up in higher amounts than 10 they are overselling a LOT.

Free webhosting is also offered by us, we don't even currently offer it for sale.

Only reason why I used MPServ is cause somehow their servers always got recognized.

I've hosted with A LOT of people. The reason I went back to NFO is their network. Everyone gets good ping which boosts the servers rating. This allows us to get more population, ultimately making us more successful.
