Help learning LUA.

Hello,

I’m interested in learning Lua but I’m not sure where to begin.

I’ve tried watching YouTube tutorials, but I often feel overwhelmed by the amount of information being thrown at me. As a complete beginner with no prior coding or programming experience, I’m looking for some guidance to help me get started.

I’ve seen some Udemy courses that look interesting, but I’m not sure if they’re worth it. What I really need is help finding a learning path that will make me efficient in Lua, specifically for Garry’s Mod.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

1. Are there mentors who teach Lua for an hourly rate?
2. Are there courses that could help me progress at a good pace?

A little about me:

I’m in my first year of studying IT Networking, Systems, and Devices. I can already set up a functional Garry’s Mod server with custom jobs, shipments, and basic configurations. My ultimate goal is to learn Lua so I can create custom scripts and eventually develop a fully custom gamemode in Garry’s Mod.

Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!
