Mandarin and Cantonese are spoken languages. When written they are the same.Silly uncultured American :)
Sorry Billy, but having lived in Hong Kong for a good period of time, there is a variation in terms of writing.
Typically in China simplified version is written, however in the canton area (where Cantonese is used), they mostly write in traditional version(With Taiwan being the exception). Although both version might look similar, the phrases and terms are hugely different as mandarin, for example, are written more formally. There are also a few dialects floating around China, so vocab and terms can vary.
So technically speaking, Beast is not entirely incorrect. Just for your information :)

Sorry Omni, but after eating at Chinese restaurants for years, i can tell you there is no variation in terms of writing.
Typically in China, simplified version is written, however in the canton area (where Cantonese is used), they can't write shit so they just pretend they can, they act like they understand each-others but they don't, they're just "writing" some random shit and act like they're superior, so there is no variation of the written Chinese since writing random shit doesn't makes you writing a language.
So technically speaking, Beast is entirely incorrect. Just for your information :)
